America loves you. https://www.bundesliga.com/en/news/...-plunge-in-germany-pulisic-sargent-509895.jsp
"I want to fly to the States and play for my country" This is new. Didn't he supposedly have a massive fear of flying?
No. This quote was exaggerated to mean a fear of flying: "I only had to think because I wanted to be clear in my head. With the U.S. national team, you fly all the time, I wanted to make sure that would be OK for me. When I made the decision, I didn't think about other things. I was 100 percent into the decision and I wanted this."
I'd take anything said in interviews to the BundesLiga English portal with a grain of salt. One, they're trying to open the huge American market, and people will say anything for the cash; Two, FOX is involved financially to the gills, so they can probably pass the questions and the answers for each interview. Don't be surprised if all of a sudden BuLi stars start talking about their ambition to play in LA or how awesome the NYRB are.
Well this the first offseason in a while that Chandler vacationed in the United States rather than Dubai....what does this mean? Nothing probably
Starts: KICK-OFF! Our friendly against @EmpoliCalcio is under way. Here's the team that's starting the game in Reischach.#SGEFCE #SGEGais | 0-0 pic.twitter.com/sevrM4urXo— Eintracht Frankfurt (@eintracht_eng) August 1, 2018
don't know if he's not fully fit or was just left out, but Chandler did not make the squad for the German Super Cup.
the answer is that he's not fit, he has knee issues. "The right-back will be examined in detail tomorrow, Thursday. A diagnosis is still pending." https://www.eintracht.de/news/artik...-die-vorbereitung-auf-den-ssv-ulm-1846-66688/
no good news Surgery tomorrow and unknown downtime that could be long. Not only that but depending on the results if it's long period of being out, Frankfurt could get a new fullback to replace him. One who could play both sides seems to be the preference. Bei Rechtsverteidiger Timothy Chandler steht morgen Nachmittag ein operativer Eingriff an. Erst danach liegt die genaue Diagnose und Ausfallzeit vor. Daumen drücken! Alles Gute, Timmy!🤞#SGE #getwellsoon pic.twitter.com/4igTdq3Qio— Eintracht Frankfurt (@Eintracht) August 16, 2018
That just sucks. He seemed to be coming around to his American roots witht ath article. Godspeed for a quick recovery and successful surgery Timmy. Gesundheit und viel Gluck.
Yikes, declared out for 6 months/half a year.... https://www.eintracht.de/news/artikel/chandler-faellt-langfristig-aus-66763/
Eintracht Frankfurt has stumbled to a 2-1 loss today in the DFB Pokal to SSV Ulm of the Regionalliga Südwest, the fourth tier of German football. They still have league and Europa League to play for.
they've been garbage all preseason and embarrassed themselves in 2 consecutive competitive games.Too many key players have left the team and the replacements as of now aren't good enough. Could potentially be a long season.
Good news!😀 Timothy Chandler is back on the pitch!👏 #SGE pic.twitter.com/XbXKuQTkTx— Eintracht Frankfurt (@eintracht_eng) November 16, 2018
.@gpaciencia9 and Timmy #Chandler have been, ahem, working on their recovery in the gym. Looks like someone’s on the mend! 😁😂 #SGE pic.twitter.com/g21eskabAr— Eintracht Frankfurt (@eintracht_eng) November 30, 2018
Fredi Bobic recently talked about how da Costa has excelled in the RB/RWB position ever since Chandler's been injured that he used his chance to impress when given to him well. who knows what this means for Chandler who comes back in something like Feb and with an expiring 2020 contract to top it all.
Timothy Chandler is back! 😍🙌#SGE pic.twitter.com/AiJsaYD9i0— Eintracht Frankfurt (@eintracht_eng) January 3, 2019
he's making an new friend. Timothy Chandler und @Sebastianrode20 machen gleich mal Bekanntschaft 😉✌️#SGE pic.twitter.com/u0zOZbwQnA— Eintracht Frankfurt (@Eintracht) January 3, 2019
he's not really there yet, looks like he can only do basic stuff. seems like Frankfurt could get another RB if Chandler isn't ready in time.
and they got that other RB in 96 Malian Almamy Toure from Monaco. Can also be deployed at CB. Signed for 4 and a half years. doesn't seem like Chandler will be ready in time. Makes one wonder about his future at Frankfurt as his contract does expire in 2020.
New video of Chandler, he's been added to Europa League roster. Looks like he's fully fit. https://www.eintracht.de/news/artikel/jeden-tag-ein-stueck-interview-mit-timothy-chandler-70544/
