BBC.com has an article regarding the Canadian Premier League.

Another talking point that the league shared with medias here at home is that they were surprised at the amount of support they got from UEFA top leagues. EPL, Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A are all eager to offer expertise and help CPL grow and contacted the league offering their support and help.

A stark contrast with MLS who's first act was to minimize the league and put it down publicly...

Link for the article please. I can look it up, but I think it would be a good idea to post it here for those who want to read it without opening up another tab on the browser to look it up...

Yeah... that's not any better. Maybe better grammatically, but I won't bother even addressing any of your points because you didn't make any. Keep that up and I'll just block you as a matter of principle and recommend that others do the same.

You're just making a whole lot of hyperbolic, and not always coherent, predictions without backing them up with anything. Facts, figures, an actual argument, etc. The above is not a contribution. It's not even a rant. It's just a waste of time. You might as well have walked out the front door of your home/apartment and screamed what you just said into the wind for all of the usefulness your post contains. It's just a snarky opinion. Big deal, you're not Albert Einstein so why should anyone care about what you think just because you said it? That's a degree of arrogance reserved only for a privileged few whose worlds only exist in their own minds. Give us a reason and back it up with an actual argument.

It's pointless to even engage with either of your statements in an intellectual manner whether I agree with the sentiment contained in your post or not. There's nothing there to even address or unpack. Just a snarky opinion that might have been made by some kid trying to come off as edgy and informed while not pulling off either. That's why it's stupid.

It is fine to not see CPL in a positive light, in fact, you'll see quite a few comments in this thread of people that have reservations about the league and the quality of its players. However, it is expected that you remain civil when discussing the league and present your arguments as to why you think it isn't a good league and/or won't last long. What is not okay is to attack anyone that disagrees with your assessment (such as accusing them of being Donald Trump), lacing every post with words intended to incite (such as calling it a shite pub league), etc, etc.

Basically, you need to dial back your tone.

    I know..like i told a admin im a bit ho

headed.. Why i wont think it will work?
3 mls teams not involved .would have given league credability..soccer in edmonton has never work or been supported same as hamilton ..& winnipeg and halifax..no one wants to watch football with gridirion.lines on them or lame cfl logos..then their is player quality or lack there of..sorry cis is not a good standard of players..its not close to ncaa level or skill.

I have to disagree on some of those points. The top CIS players could hold their own if they played in the NCAA and coaching has improved over the last decade as the CSA has enforced coaching licence levels. Maybe not as good as NCAA, but not far off. Look at how many of the York University players were former TFC academy players and there are a lot of international players as well. But this is all moot until we get some solid baseline after the Canadian championships are completed.

As for the Gridiron lines, the Ottawa Fury for years have been using a water soluble paint to remove CFL lines prior to Fury Games and vis-versa. The only Fury games I've seen with the CFL lines still on the field was when they have a RedBlack game within 36 hours of a Fury game. Otherwise, OSEG does a pretty good job of catering to each fanbase. I'm sure the other CPL owners would be able to do the same.

Just a quick thought: I understand that transportation will be an issue for some teams, so it might actually be worthwhile to have two teams relatively close together, like Forge and York9. Teams that have to fly could have a 2-game road trip against these two teams from a central hotel and training area (say, Mississauga?) and have to only pay for one return flight instead of two. This could also work for Calgary-Edmonton, and also if there were teams in Victoria-Surrey, Saskatoon-Regina, Ottawa-Laval-Quebec City, and Moncton-Halifax.

That said, I could see a future where over a third of the CPL clubs are located in Southwestern Ontario and GTA. In that case, those teams would have an operational cost advantage over teams in more remote locations that will have to pay more for transportation. Perhaps, the CPL should centralize transportation costs so they are paid for by the league rather than the individual clubs in order to level the playing field further?

<Edit: Agreed that NCAA Div I is prime rib, but USports is at least Sirloin quality at the highest levels and Inside round at worst, which can still be pretty tasty...

    Man, now I'm hungry! >

The thing though is that a week's worth of hotels and meals would be much more costly than an additional return flight
