I didn't realize until reading about it that Kent is essentially a Bill Clinton stand-in. Interesting.
Oh I didn't think this at all ... Remember his mother said that there was no way Julie's father was her real father.
Well then who? The only three people who talked at the presser were Tom Purcell, Kent and that other lawyer dude whose name now escapes me. And I'm not even sure if the third dudes comments were still being televised. Were they?
I assumed she was referring to TOM!!! Who was the dude in the photo that the film maker gave to old Purple?
Supposedly a guy on the 1990 investigation who was killed under suspicious circumstances. He might be linked to the crime that Hays and West obviously committed together. I think he is meant to be the guy who found Will Purcell's backpack at Woodard's destroyed home.
I think the reveal will be that she was not talking about Tom but about one of the other two people at that presser. My money was initially on Kent but now I think the other lawyer dude might be worth considering too. I looked online, apparently that character is called Alan Jones.
So the director lady and Hayes son having an affair has been confirmed. Can someone help me out with something I'm blanking on: who was it again who had originally given them the lead about the black man with the dead eye? I can't remember.
Okay, found the answer myself, it was the old woman who had sold the dolls they found near Will Purcell's crime scene who had described the man she had sold several of those dolls to as a black man with a dead eye.
I guess so. There is a theory that there is an entire cabal of rich dudes who do this stuff of which Billy Lee Tuttle (from season one) and the so far unseen Hoyt (from season three) are just two members.
There are some theories that I hope aren't true because they are too dumb. e.g. Eliza being Julie Purcell.
Is it just me or did Eliza have some bruising on the left side of her face during that interview segment with Wayne Hays?
Very much looking forward to the conclusion of this season. I do wonder what it'll be like. In the 2015 time line, most of the people responsible will either be long gone or very old.
So does anyone believe the Eliza = Julie theory? I just don't see it myself. For one thing, wouldn't the actress playing her have to be like ten years older in the 2015 timeline?
Whilst I don't believe the Eliza is Julie theory I do think it'll be revealed that there is more to her than meets the eye. She'll turn out to be more than a documentary filmmaker, or she'll be one who is bankrolled by someone who has actual skin in the game. She's certainly more than a narrative device to give 2015 Wayne Hays someone to do his exposition with.
On the subject of the cast, Stephen Dorff is going to get a lot of miles out of this performance, isn't he? I barely remembered the guy from "Blade". Yet here he is going toe to toe with Mahershala Ali and matching him in most if not all scenes.
What is that a still image of on Eliza's video editing software? It looks like another room (yellowish one?) with a door.
So what did they do wrong in series two ?? I just lost interest very quickly .. Loved one and now series three .
