Has a chance to be playing against Adams tomorrow; I hope.

Right now the fans want to pack him back to Hamburg, so it may be wise not to play him for a while and once all the other alternatives prove just as inept, the fans will clamor for his return.

Or at least stop wanting him somewhere else.

The fans will change their tune if he manages to score a goal, or even contribute to points. If every manager fielded a team based on fan reactions, there would be some really stupid line-ups out there.

Wood is having a poor year, and H96 have had some real bad luck, but I'm not sure they have better options. Time will tell.

No. But all the strikers are currently really poor. Fullkrig was the only one who showed anything last year and he's been injured and is out.

fwiw, Horst is getting the brunt of the criticism, in large part for the players he brought in - including in large part Wood.

Any chance he can turn it around? Other strikers aren't scoring.

Overall is Wood just a 2 Bundesliga star? Or did he have the misfortune of playing for sides (in the BL) who can't do much to get him the ball?

Do we know that he's a 2. Bundesliga "star?" That season at Union Berlin was great, but if he dropped back to that league, I'd be equally unsurprised by him scoring 20 or him scoring 6. He's just so inconsistent.

I'd give Bobby the benefit of the doubt. He plays in BL1 for a team that gets clubbed like seal pups every game. Hard to score in that sitch.

I mean, sure, but besides that one season at Union, his goalscoring rate in the 2. Bundesliga sucks. I don't think there's enough evidence since then to say whether 2015-16 was a breakout year or an aberration.

He looked the part of a star. I think he's actually a tweener. He's good enough to be on several 1BL clubs. But he's not good enough to create much on his own, so unless that team is good he's got little chance. If the team is really good, however, they will want a better option. The 2BL is wildly uneven, but, say, he returned to Union: He would be their go to guy. And Union is in 4th (they will end up in 8th, it's their thing). still, they are a good 2Bl side.

That's 3-0 to Leipzig, in case anyone had any hopes whatsoever.

Stats, in football as they are everywhere else, are a mixed bag but these stand out: Hannover had 4 shots, 0 on target; Leipzig had 20 shots, 10 on target. And Hannover were the home side. They're doomed.

Bobby is one of those guys who needs service, he's not going to create his own chances, he doesn't have the ball control for that.

Since teams like JSV or H96 can't afford the type of player who can create his own chances, no one in their roster can score much.

They'd have to get lucky and find some young/down-on-his-luck guy who can score without midfield help.

Scary that like 2 years ago Dortmund were interesting in him. And as such; Hamburg doubled his salary to keep him.

He had a good scoring rate in the 2 Bundesliga right?

Wood left practice early either due to injury or because coach felt he has reached his pinnacle and needs no more practice.

How does Wood's overall record in the Bundisliga compare overall? He's been on some terrible first division teams and gotten terrible results while there
