Solid lineup. Too bad for Canouse, though. Trapp is 3G's boy. And Mike is a Made Man.

Apparently no one in San Jose likes soccer.

I can't believe Canouse didn't even make the bench. Did he get on GB's shit list somehow?

Where all the fans then? High school football games have more energy than this.

Your deduction and conclusion were faulty and speculative at best.

Trapp is such a sieve defensively and doesn't offer nearly enough in attack to compensate for that, so tired of seeing him.

I don't understand playing Baird on the right and Arriola on the left. It does the opposite of fitting their skill-sets.

I guess I don’t see all the ghost supporters in the empty seats in a high school stadium like you do.

High school football games are also often free. Tickets for this were $40+. I wouldn't spend that much to attend a January camp game if the stadium were next door to my house.

I don't think fitting Berhalter's system is important enough to employ an inferior player internationally like Trapp is. Gets run around defensively and offensively gets too high, when he's not even creative for a cm. Gregg also boxed himself in by leaving Canouse out of the 18. That's what can happen when you're too married to a system and loyal to players.

    I thought the same thing...

Normally, you can switch wingers side without much problem but Arriola is strictly a RW.

Can anyone explain why domestic soccer matches on ESPN and Fox look like they're broadcast from the late 90s? They're so blurry, and this is not the case for any other sport in this country, including European games.

The final wide ball when switching needs to be a little quicker to really break the Ticos.

Poor start for Roldan. Very uptight. Not doing the simple things he usually does well - positioning, running opponents off the ball, square passes, and slashing runs.

The counter pressing is clearly the most effective aspect of today's game plan.
