With 3 goals and 1 assist, Bobby is not only the #2 most productive player in Hannover (after 3/3 Bebou), but the #1 Yank in goals/assists in the Bundesliga.

Sargent is one goal behind (2/0) and Puli is third (1/2).

Fullkreg's injury makes H96's dire situation even worse. How long is he out for? I saw "months" back in late Jan. That is not good.

Of course, it means Wood will likely get minutes no matter what, even if he somehow loses the starting spot. H96 don't have the resources to stock up on strikers/wingers

*crosses fingers Bobby scores enough goals until May so BigSoccer folks remember Sargent isnt the only US striker in the Bundesliga*

Bobby Wood has as many goals in 909 minutes as Sargent and Wright have in their combined 218.

True but they also both play for significantly better teams.

That is not good for H96. Saw he did his cartilage.

Doubtful. Guy has a chronic injury that kept him at best on the bench for Corinthians. He's 29 but with thigh tendon problems.

I calculate they'll need 6+ goals from Bobby to save themselves. Which means they're doomed. But if Bobby manages 6 goals total this season, that'd still be remarkable for a Yank striker in a Top 5 league. Only McBride in 05/06 & 06/07 (9 each) and Dempsey in 08/09, 09/10 (7 each), 10/11 (12), 11/12 (17) & 12/13 (7) have scored more than six in a Big 5 season.

All the more insane as those guys played in like every match for their clubs. Yet scored so few. The pity of being a goalscorer on a relegation fodder club. I think it was only Defoe (at Sunderland) who put up great numbers on such a bottom ranked club. Recently, I mean.

Replaced at the 63' after not doing much. Can't say I'm surprised.

Surprised that Jonathas wasn't injured. That's his usual state.

In a positive(?) note, he didn't do anything either.

Guess they're going to play Jonathas until he gets injured again.

It makes no difference against Dortmund anyway, it's unlikely their striker sees the ball except to help defend.

Not in the 18, not in the injury list. Is Toronto buying him too?

And there's the kicker: Hannover managed to score one on Dortmund with no Wood around. Couldn't it end in a nice 5-0.
