Lot of games to play. Fulham are behind the 8 ball, as usual.

Ream is far from their biggest problem right now. Mitrovic couldn't score on an open barn. He had a pk saved today. Ranieri knows his business. He'll bring in some solid players and get this team playing ugly.

Was Ream the guy who did not jump at the far post during the corner kick that led to a header goal? It was either Ream or another guy. Sometimes you have to hold your jump to avoid getting called for a pk, and that might have been the case. It was a near perfect corner kick.

    Pretty sure it wasn't Ream.

It was a cross, not a corner. Ream was the closer of the two defenders. You can tell it's him because he's the the guy that is always giving the WTF look after the goal goals in with his hands in the air. Had the ball been lower, his man would've won the ball as his feet were planted on the ground, so while you can't blame him on the goal, it was still pretty shabby defending.

That being said, if you watch one of the two goals given up by Leicester the same day, Fuchs gets beat for pace by the crosser and Wes Morgen left his mark alone at the far post for an easy header against guys who work as plumbers and tradesmen in the offseason (facetious), so I'm not sure if these defenders are really switched on during the FA Cup ties.

Sarri says of Cahill (in link above)

"Maybe he is the best in the box, but our defenders may play 100 or 110 balls in a match so I need very technical defender"

otoh, Fullham need some more solidity in the box. I dont think Ream is the guy who gets benched for Cahill. Ream has played fairly well and knows the team as far as ball distro is concerned.

Fulham managed to score three goals in the first half, sadly two of them on their own goal. Good news: Tim was not responsible for any of the own goals.

Second half and still 2-1 for Burnley, who are also a quite terrible team but Fulham wants to lose this one more.

I only watched the second half, but Fulham were very much in control but lacked a bit of quality and luck in the final third.

Also, I saw the highlights, and Schurrle had a Goal of the Year contender to open the scoring. Shame it didn't help at all.

He's had a pretty solid career in England. Just about 7 years now. Had like 2/3 seasos in MLS and got a move to Bolton beford they were relegated. Starred in the Championship for several seasons.

Own goal by Llorente! Fulham in front.

The guy marking Ream in a corner saw the ball deflected from him to Llorente who pushed it into his own net. So I guess this could be counted as an ersatz-assist.

Ranieri has completely outcoached Pochettino this first half.

Ream had a shocking whiff on a clearance that led to the spurs goal

All calls are going to the Spuds. That's something I really hate about the EPL now, how blatant they are in giving a hand to the wealthier clubs.

Arlo White was talking about how big a point this was for Fulham in like, the 88th minute. I said that there was no way Fulham was getting a point, and here we are.

I've always found it strange that English announcers rush to prematurely declare the result of a match.

Fulham were stupid and didn’t waste time at the end. The keeper with that fast long punt that had like a 5% chance of connecting allowed spurs to quickly start the attack and score.

Ream caught between two spurs, chose who should have been the more dangerous one and the other one headed it in. Not really his fault other blown marks and keeper should have punched the cross anyway

I haven't seen the (first) goal yet, but the commentator put it more politely, saying "Ream failed to connect on a clearance at the edge of the box."

The Good: Tim was not responsible at all for their 2nd goal.

The Bad: He deserves a bit of blame for their 1st.

The Ugly: They lost at the death...

Ream not the worst defender in that hapless team. Not today, at least.

I think it's fair to blame Ream on that first goal. "Whiff" seems like an accurate description of what happened there.
