Don't really know why it does not work at the back for Japan. Look at their defenders. Great players.
To be fair, he is crushing in the league also. By a good good margin to be honest. And we all know there are some great players in that league.
Did not say the league was great just saying he is the best scorer by a margin. Im sure he could make an impact in Europe, but he should have gone long time ago.
We all know how hard it is for Asian players, really talented or not, to succeed in Europe, and if Wu Lei makes it to there, I would wish him the best.
I'm optimistic for the game vs China. Hoping for KMH to show more focus on the defensive end than he exhibited during the AG. Also have a feeling that JDW will start and LSW will feature which makes the team better imo
I don't care about scrappy wins as long as we win and keep a clean sheet People who talk smack about our team right now are forgetting we don't have our best player.
One of the few reasons I'm not entirely pessimistic is because in the last Asian Cup (2015), we struggled in our first 2 games with 1-0 scoreline.
two forward systems work better with son heungmin. ji dongwon is not a reliable backup cf as he has zero presence inside the box. playing two opposite footed forwards on the wing doesnt work when opposing team sits back with ten defenders. korean players cant be relied on to shortpass their way past a parked bus they are more comfortable with directness. basically bento just about got everything wrong thus far. i really hope hes learning from these matches. not just about his players and the matchup in asia, but basically about korean football first two matches very unimpressive from bento but tournament management is all about quickly responding to necessary changes. staff had two matches to figure out which players they shouldnt rely on and which players they can. much of criticism towards bento by portugal and olympiakos supporters are geared towards stubbornness during player selection. lets see what hes like during tournament mode less when he has a month between matches to overthink about his decisions
Based on the last two games, I'd be very surprised if JWY and HHC started or at the very least, played the full 90. Also, I'm kinda glad we played the teams we did, since it highlighted our inability to break out of pressure effectively. I remember the 2014 world cup and parts of 2018 being really frustrated with the consistent pass backs and booting it from our half. Hopefully, we see more improvement on that end.
http://news.chosun.com/site/data/html_dir/2019/01/13/2019011300166.html the news says wu lei is the biggest threat of china
if non-bsk members ever read what we write in the matchday threads, they would probably think that we are getting manhandled by the oppositions all the time lol.
North Korea is tanking hard in this tournament. Moon Jae-in probably shed a tear watching this match. Either there is some match fixing going on or they have become really shit after Jorn Andersen got sacked. 10 goals conceded and 0 scored so far in the tournament.
That is good. The chances are more than 50 that Korea will top the group and we don't want Japan to be 2nd; we don't want them to come over to this side. But AFC referees' favoring Japan is an annoying and worriesome trend. I don't think they could have won more than 1~2 AC's without it. As an added bonus, they try to crap on Korea to balance things out for East Asian countries.
Saudi Arabia and Qatar are not big fans of each other I can see them paying off North Korea to top one of each other by goal difference. They do need the money.
