Small talk with an MLS head coach ahead of #MLSSuperDraft :"Fun stuff today, right? ""Nah."— Steven Goff (@SoccerInsider) January 11, 2019 Feel the excitement.
If you're doing blackout drunk right, then you will feel bad about it. Regret always follows a good blackout drunk.
Assuming it could happen, I also don't see the reason why it *should* happen. Do we really want 80 buses of away fans traveling up? Something-something home field, amirite?
Was it Philly? I read a note that MLS required the technical staff to attend against their wishes despite no draft picks
Yes, I've also been a season ticket holder for the last 25 in that 100k behemoth. Are you willing to acknowledge that there are events that take place in locations other than 20k or 100k? We have the 20k events taken care of, and we have the 100k events also covered. We don't need anymore of either of those sizes. There are lots of 35k-50k events that go to Cincinnati or Indy or Cleveland, those could come to Columbus if we just had the right size venue for them.
That was Quakes owner Lew Wolff's initial reaction when he saw us fans show up to a city council meeting held before he exercised the option to purchase.
Annual game at Stanford against the Galaxy draws capacity 50,000 fans. The Levi's game has been discontinued. A couple years there was an annual game at both locations.
I vote no. I will not chant "Guillermo." He was not interested in coaching here, the club where he won two Supporters' Shields and an ML$ Cup. He accepted a position coaching the club for which ML$ has forever bent over backwards to give them an edge over everyone else. Which includes US. Thank you for what you've done. Now you're one of them.
....and instead of dying on a specific type of given landform, couldn't one have a life event that wasn't so, well, final? Maybe something reversible?....
Wait. I don't follow. Wouldn't it benefit either Party if they vanquished the other? I mean, if one Party wants to maintain power (which is their goal, right?), does it matter if the other exists or is dissolved? Wouldn't any new party that arose from the remnants be weaker than the one it replaced, allowing the dominant Party to continue to maintain power?
From Naas’ twitter page: How did he get those things on his seats that say “Naas Farms?” Also, is he a farmer???
How does Ohio Stadium compare to Yankme Stadium in terms of field width for soccer? Is Yankme Stadium within the minimum according to the Laws of the Game? Is the 'Shoe officially not? Does the 'Shoe need special permission for friendlies?
I also don't want a 25k stadium that's not used to capacity. Your only presenting 2 options with the stadium size. There are more. In order of preference: 1) 25K stadium that sells out. 2) 25k stadium, that has a growing fan base 3) 20k stadium, that sells out 4) 20k stadium that doesn't sell out and is stagnate. (Where we have been the last 5 years.) (I actually have a ridiculous ambition that we can make a 28k stadium work, but let's try and get the powers that be to like the idea of 25k before getting too crazy.) What would it take for you to say that building bigger is better? What it would take for me to agree that a smaller stadium is a better option, is if our season tickets don't hit (or come close) the previous high mark. The 1996 11,500 Is the highest season ticket sells have been right? (and that was with Kroger bulk buying a bunch.) My pseudo inside man says there are talks (hopes?) of exceeding 12k for season tickets this year. If that comes true, and maintained next year, I can see easily another 4k in seasons tickets for the new stadium. 16k in ticket requests would put us on par with Minn, SJ, and KC of the world. I understand your point, that where we currently sit there isn't a need for a larger stadium. My point is I'm optimistic of the effect of STC, and see a growth curve of people interested in the Crew that I would hate to have stunted by another 20k facility.
