It's scary Bento is just as delusional as STY.

Lee Yong lacks the pace, speed, and energy to be playing under Bento's system, it's too taxing on him both physically and mentally. I'd rather have Kim Moon-hwan at RB from here on out.

Well I hope he rest Son. We need him healthy and fully rested for the knockout stage. But we'll see.

Start LSW, CHW, SHM and KMH for next game and we should be good.

He lacks football IQ as well.

It makes me livid whenever he has plenty of space on the wing but he insists on pushing the ball ahead 10 yards and trying to cross it in while running at full speed. I think in his limited mind he thinks that puts more pace on the ball.

Maybe under a different system where it doesn't require him to move up high and track back at the same time I would start him at RB. It was also demanding even under Shin Tae-yong as well.

    yes.

also like you said, he breaks down in the 2nd half when he's gassed and becomes an even bigger liability down his flank.

again it makes me wonder. how is it that the same names keep coming up when we have new manager with new set of eyes n tactics? so who has the final say so when it comes to selection?

maybe they are (like JWY and JHS) are the best options, practice well but chokes in matches...idk. But I thought Bento would clean house when taking helm but here they are...like that ugly mole on a face that cannot be removed.

    FT Notes:

    1. KSG - he stops the shots. But he punches it right back into the box. There were a few times he punched the ball right back at the shooter. What is our Lunch Box doing starting Felix from Westworld over Cho HW!?

    2. LY - now I know he has a mean roundhouse kick. My goodness he's shit. I'm actually relieved he won't be playing against China.

    3. JWY - passenger. And not the shotgun passenger either. Just a third row passenger in a minivan with his Ipad and headphones offering no value at all. Why can't he EVER carry the ball forwards over 5 meters into space? I counted one decent through ball. Everything else was a panicked sideways pass.

    4. HHC - can we please start converting him into a fullback already? He's the streakiest of streaky goal scorers. It almost reminds me of that kid in Mighty Ducks that had one good shot on him for every 10 shots. My goodness he can't score or dribble or pass when his head is not screwed on straight. But he's such a good athlete and wrecking ball. It's a damn shame.

    5. HEJ - just get the ball into the net. I think one goal may open the floodgates again. But who knows...

    6. HIB - he did well in a physical match, but he still needs to get stronger. He certainly has versatility. But his lack of physique cannot be denied.

    7. LCY - when an opponent is parking the bus, we need him. When they are not, his lack of pace these days is an issue. That miss tonight was unbelievable spatial awareness inside the box just holding his position. The miss... Sigh...

    8. HC - did not settle down as much as I hoped. He had a few decent crosses, that one to HEJ's header. Good. Most of the rest were underhit. Covered a lot of space on counters however. Better than KJS.

    9. KJC - he showed his class tonight where he found plenty of space to operate. I'm glad that he was rested.

10 Bento - while it's not his fault that the players could not execute basic passes and convert sure chances, a few questions remain for our lunch box leader. Why start KSG over CHW? Why start JWY at all? Why not test out LSW? Why not substitute HHC for JDW instead? Why use only 2 substitutions? We'll see how he adjusts to AFC tournaments/matches, which are just different than friendlies and matches against European and South American sides...

The one thing that disappoints me the most about Lee Yong is how his crosses have degraded over time, and he was known for his direct crosses, but it's nowhere to be seen, you either get low crosses that hit defenders/get stuck in the oppositions defense, or high cross that completely skyrockets over our players as well as the opposition's players..

This is exactly what I've been harping about during the lead up to the 2018 FIFA World Cup, he's not a quality WB/RB like Song Jong-gug or Cha Du-ri whom both had the physicality, endurance, and mentality to be running high up the pitch and tracking back quickly. We need to start using Kim Moon-hwan, and we also need to call up Kim Jin-ya asap.

Mark my words. Bento will stick to Lee Yong and Jung Woo Young, no matter what. He'll also dump LSW+LCY for NTH once he gets back from injury. I'm not even sure if he'll properly use KCH.

KCH is way too good to not be used. He can play CAM or RW, not too worried where he plays.

Any guesses on who will be our next domestic manager after Bento gets fired within the next 2 years?

it's not really not having lost that worries me, it's the matter in which we ONLY JUST squeezed through that does. this shows theres no guarantee of success in the knockout round.
i don't think it's him. it's our players. we can't complete passes neither can we make good runs. passing is half the game.

Who is fielding these players? It's Bento who refuses to play LSW and weirdly called up JDW over SHJ. He has terrible judgment.
