I’m watching the match. Wooten is playing on the right side of a 4-3-3. A couple of touches and fouls nothing significant at this point. The match is frenetic, choppy, and chippy at this point with both teams not able to hold possession long. Furth rocked one of the post and and Sand had a shot well saved.

Correct me if I'm wrong but it looks like he came on at the half, not in the Startelf?

Correct. I read that wrong. Usually the 1st column is for starters and I didn't look any further.

expiring Summer contract and Sandhausen are fighting relegation battle. Doing well enough that he could be picked up by another 2BL club but wonder if next season he stays in 2BL or join Boyd to MLS?

8 goals in 17 (?) starts...not bad for a player who started off the season injured!

Quietly having a very good season among yanks abroad! a bit under-the-radar in terms of performance.....

if he can keep banging in the goals until the end of the season...maybe he makes a jump up the club ladder??

you mean jumping to 1BL? That's possible but would be surprising if he's anything but a sub option tbh, if it were to happen. From 2BL there other more interesting strikers who are also younger too. Clubs in 1BL also want consistency, he didn't do much last season.

Sandhausen also fighting relegation battle and Wooten is doing well enough to at least attract other 2BL interest. Unlike Boyd who honestly was headed for 3rd Liga had he stayed in Germany.

as for Wooten he's 2 goals away from having his best season as a striker which was back in 2016-2017 season where he topped off at 9 goals. And not far from hitting 50 career 2BL goals.

90 minutes for Wooten in a 3-0 loss. Sandhausen are bottom of the table because of Duisburg's Friday win.

scores his 9th of the season to make it 1-0 vs Costly's Magdeburg.

a dual between 2 bottom teams, could be a massive win for Sandhausen if they last to the end.

Wooten’s quietly had another strong season on a crappy, struggling team. I doN’t know what his contract situation is but I’d love to see an MLS club pluck him from Sandhausen. I’ve always appreciated and liked his game and there are several MLS could use him. At 29, it might be now or never in MLS. The timing could be right.
