Ethan getting recognized for his Champions League performance! Good for him its been a long road but his perseverance & belief in himself & work ethic is paying off ! Until you see bottom you don’t know what it takes ! Other US keepers will have to prove this, including Zach S. https://t.co/Ai7ZmIFXIn?amp=1

They also traded kits after their first match of the Champions League when Horvath didn't play if I remember correctly.
In all seriousness I'm Horvath's second-biggest fan after @LouisianaViking07/09 (who liked Horvath before it was cool). My favorite thing about him is how long his arms are. He's really got that reach. They are DEFINITELY longer than Neuer's in that picture. He also looks taller when you take into account he is further back in the picture than Neuer.
I still remember when Lando faked Neuer to the right and scored to his left in that MLS All Stars game. Fun times. Horvath looks somewhat goofy, even when by himself.
True that. @LouisianaViking07/09 kept saying that he could turn it around when it looked like the guy had an incurable case of the yips. Most people who do that are fanboys, but not our Viking. Not an easy balancing act but he definitely pulled it off.
I felt his mistake against Portugal wasnt sufficient enough to wrire him off. And it sucked how he was so badly treated by Brugge. From no.1 to not even making the bench; what a crazy 12-14 months he had.
I still want to see him in a meaningful game for the NT. Only then we'll know for sure if he can overcome the nerves for country, like he did for club.

And the Italy game was not a strong showing ? The past year & 6 months all US games have been friendlies so Steffen likewise should be held to the same question correct ?
Sure, he did well. But the mental pressure in actual competition is different. I think he's our keeper for this cycle, but I need some evidence he won't pee the bed when playing for the NT in an actual competitive game. It's the only thing left for him to prove, for me at least. I've seen plenty of players who look good with club, good in friendlies, but when actually representing their country in games that matter, they're not the same. Take Luis Robles, who in his one match in a Gold Cup looked completely out of it. He had been fine with his club, and later looked fine in friendlies. But I wouldn't trust him in goal in any NT game that was for points.
