    It’s hard to say

Pascal Gross is seen as a god in Brighton and Schindler is probably one of the best CBs in EPL outside big 6

    I did say this
"I think the Germans that play in top leagues tend to do well but the ones in 2nd division and a lot of lower leagues are flops."

Schindler is pretty much a guy who would make numerous NTs if he wasn't German. People always joke and ask the guy if he's eligible for England.

makes sense they loaned out Nielson to 2BL and got someone else. Nielson has been a bust both in 1BL and 2BL.

will be interesting to see how a non Lewa Polish striker does. As well as what happens to lyoha in Summer.

Milik didn't do too well with Leverkusen and Augsburg earlier in his career but found his breakthrough at Ajax. So we'll see if Kownacki makes an impact. Some reports mention a purchase option could be a possibility. But of course it's only realistic if Fortuna stays up

Milik never played much though he started like 5 games out 24 in 1BL. Only played 55 min for Bayer in 1BL. His performances post 1BL show that he did get lack of chances to show himself.

Krzysztof Piatek is the one all Europe is after.

Covers CB and RB. Thats why we got him. I would be surprised if another defender comes in other than a backup for Alaba. I don’t think de Ligt or Lucas are coming.

French Munich it is, they want Hernandez because he can play CB/LB. I would not be surprised if one of Hummels/Boa (or both) leave in Summer.

seems like both Bayern and Dortmund the biggest clubs will have most of their CBs in future being French ones.....

Why the Eintracht has trouble reporting eight German players?

Frankfurt - Paragraph 53 of the DFB Rules regulates the number of allowed foreign players in the Bundesliga. It says literally: "Each club is required to keep twelve licensed players of German citizenship under contract." By Peppi Schmitt Behind this regulation, which is binding for all clubs to get any permission to participate in the league, was once the good will to do something for their own offspring to make room for youth players from their own association. Therefore, the "licensing regulations players" also stipulates that the clubs must have eight locally trained players, four of them in the club under contract. Sounds sensible, but has become more and more a farce in recent years. Because the clubs are only formally adhering to these regulations, but no longer fulfill the spirit of the regulation.

This is primarily due to the fact that many clubs have long since discovered and developed the "internationalization" in their teams as a business model. The Frankfurt Eintracht is a prime example of this. Since sporting director Fredi Bobic has the shots, the scouting has been extended not only numerically, but also geographically. The Frankfurt scouts are increasingly looking for new, interesting and, above all, affordable players abroad, most recently in France, Portugal or Spain. This certainly does not correspond with the above-mentioned rules, but has proved to be quite profitable for Eintracht as both sporty and economical. Behind this is the fact that foreign talents are even cheaper than the German, which are courted by almost all clubs.

The Eintracht drives well for years with their "multi-cultural troupe", which is now assembled with players from 17 different nations. The audience celebrates the players completely independent of their origin. This has always been the case in the most international German city, remembering only the star of the 1959 championship, Hungary's Istvan Sztani, or later football heroes like Ghanaian Anthony Yeboah, Nigerian Jay-Jay Okocha or Norwegian Jan-Aage Fjörtoft , Frankfurt is easily becoming the home of international players. Maybe that explains the enthusiasm of the fans around the Europa League matches.

Many other clubs in the Bundesliga are following a similar path for financial reasons. So also the neighbor from Mainz prefers and successfully fishes in the pond of French-born players. All clubs must, however, at the beginning of the preliminary round and back round look carefully, whether the requirements of the associations are met. From time to time this leads to absurd constructions, which again becomes clear from the example of Eintracht. The twelve required German licensed players are currently: Kevin Trapp, Marco Russ, Danny Costa, Sebastian Rode, Marc Stendera, Timothy Chandler, Jan Zimmermann, Sahverdi Cetin, Noel Knothe, Mischa Hauser, Patrice Kabuya and Tobias Stirl. Cetin, Houses, Kabuya and Stirl play in the A-Youth and are miles away from the pros, rarely a part of the training group. Zimmermann is the third goalkeeper, Knothe also no chance for a Kaderplatz. The Frankfurt must therefore have three, four or even five "Quotendeutsche" under contract to meet the prescribed target. Which certainly does not serve the purpose of promoting one's own offspring. In fact, it hinders even this goal, because Knothe would certainly be better off at a club where he could collect match practice.

The federations, DFB and DFL, this does not seem to bother everything. And also the European association UEFA, moves there. Among the 25 players registered for the Champions League and Europa League eight must be eligible to play for the national team of the respective association, in this case Germany. Also there the clubs have to compromise. This has led to the Eintracht that with Deji Beyreuther and Noel Knothe two players had to be reported, the athletic did not matter. It would certainly be a task of the associations to change the legally controversial restrictions.

such a farce of a club and pretty much screwing over kids just to get the requirements.

so Reece Oxford who was meh with Gladbach is set to reject returning to Germany/Gladbach in order to make a move to Arsenal in Summer.

shows the obvious these kids don't really want to play in Germany to begin with.

Rabiot to Bayern, French domination it is. Bayern still want an experienced winger, wouldn't be surprised if it's also another Frenchman.

looks like I'm not the only one who makes fun of all the Frenchies at Bayern.

now the Frenchies at Bayern also influence the Bayern board, domination seems more fitting every day.

although Rabiot seems linked with a Barca move.

Rabiot rumors are probably to get Barca to play more or move sooner.

Unfortunately we are seeing a serious talent drought in Germany.

I really wonder if we'll become Italy.

in terms of top league player production we're the same.
number of domestic players in League in Germany is getting closer to Serie A

their NT has struggled for awhile, we struggled all of 2018.

Serie A getting higher used foreign players’ playing time % season by Season
