No they won’t qualify no matter what And if we bring in 2002 kids, can they compete against other 2001? I just see a lack of talents in general The serious lack of talent in many age group is the main reason why German Football is struggling. The philosophy is wrong n emphasise too much on pass n move players. No skill, no bravery, no specialties nowadays U see players like Keitel, David Philipp n Max Brandt. When u saw them play u saw absolutely nothing
why wouldn't they be able to compete? Next year 02 are also in U19 like 01. if for example Pakia (just as quick name) is doing very well as a striker in U19 better than most why wouldn't you consider promotion? Netz an 03 is playing LB with the 02 group. Kind of a shame that he's not playing with the promising 03 group.
Even Slaven Skeledzic , now U17 assistant coach in Germany, after his journey in the Far East ... said to me that he was very surprised of the german talents nowadays He left Germany for 5-6 years and he couldn’t believe the level of talents has dropped so significantly during this period Everyone just wanna play safe, “pass-n-move”, afraid of duels n no bravery to do something different other than passes We don’t need 6 v 6 anymore, should encourage more 3 vs 3 to improve players 1-on-1 skillset Germany had a big issue in youth development during these years and every age group is affected
Nah Pakia only played in U17 this season I think Borkowski is better striker talent in that age group. Woltemade is a physical beast
I'm talking about next year, when U19=01-02 players. If Pakia does better than most 01 why shouldn't he be considered. And I'm only using him as an example not saying he's the best 02 striker or anything. Gladbach will not go for either Oxford nor Christiensen according to Eberl.
Kuntz did talk to many clubs. His conclusion is that clubs always wanna use talented local kids if they see something in them, they are free, love the club n the area n inherit club’s culture Buying is just an enhancement It’s not helping if the German talent level is that low at the moment. I think this is the all-time low even compared to 2000. I m not afraid of competitions, but if our players are that bad... I m very concerned In many players, I just see no talent, no specialities, no bravery but too restricted tactically earlier in their development. David Philipp who Werder Bremen rate, I also see as another deep lying playmaker with no future. U need to do more than pass n move n basic ball control. Where is the coverage, the tenacity, the aggressiveness, the intensity of the players? No physicality (even some are tall but very weak mentall n physically), no strength. No one knows how to make headers and why would Strikers not required to win aerial duels nowadays?
Before blaming clubs for taking foreign talents Please look at the talent level in Germany nowadays, many of them are painful to watch I talked to Lasse Gunther, asked him to improve his aerial ability n lower body strength. Not sure if he cares but that’s the main issue with many german forwards (strikers or inside forwards) If u have pace, physique, skills n the compactness... usually u can’t do too bad at the front 3 positions. Diego Costa was bought by Athletico Madrid, Loan here n there, was used as winger when he was back at the club after long Loan spells. At that time, he was 23/24 n Falcao was playing as striker there. he still have the talent to turn things around later Some missing elements in the players, the key elements, that block them from making the next step. N the kids never know, they just wanna be skilled... Too much restriction on their development earlier in their career. I would give them more freedom from 13-18, let them learn n play their game.... rather than turning them into “pass-n-move” players who show no talent in the game. Just duplicates
I agree with Karl whole heartedly here, behind the 21's the talent level is virtually bare to nothing, it's loews pathetic tic a taca philosophy which was instilled in all national levels is showing the fruition of disaster, if you look at the talent England are producing in their age groups then its frightening
Also I do agree with the mentality of the youngsters to be cosy safe, in which the real challenging duals like one to ones, or play out of dangerous situations is being totally alienated
most of what you say seems more like a training deficits (issues) over the players themselves. club blame the players yet they are the ones training them to begin with.

the Odoi reporting seems all over the place now. But is he planning to stay at Chelsea? Callum Hudson-Odoi Says He'll 'Keep Pushing' for Chelsea Opportunities Callum Hudson-Odoi has promised to "keep pushing" and "be patient" as he waits for more playing time at Chelsea. The 18-year-old, who has been heavily linked with Bayern Munich, spoke after inspiring the Blues to a 2-0 win over Championship side Nottingham Forest in the 2019 FA Cup third round on Saturday. Hudson-Odoi spoke to Chelsea TV (h/t Football.London's Greg Johnson): "I've just got to be patient and keep working hard. No matter what, I need to keep pushing in training and training shows the manager as well." Those words may give Chelsea fans hope Hudson-Odoi will stay at the club beyond the January transfer window. The chances have appeared tenuous amid reports Bundesliga giants Bayern are pressing home their interest: https://bleacherreport.com/articles...s-hell-keep-pushing-for-chelsea-opportunities Sarri seems keen on keeping the kid and giving him a shot too. Based on his more recent talk.
Have received confirmation that USYNT player Taylor Booth is in Italy to hopefully finalize his EU passport, meaning he would be eligible to play for Bayern if it gets done before the Jan. window closes.— Daniel (@DanielSmith1022) January 7, 2019

Why are we so afraid of competition? Because deep inside we know our talents aren’t competitive French n English kids are in general better now. Sad to see But I really saw no talent in many of our youngsters. Sometimes painful to watch Difficult to admit but that’s a hard fact
dude I'm just posting updates, did I say anything in this post other than the news about Odoi is all over the place?

I think it's amazing how much comes from Uruguay with a population of like 3.5 M people. Or Croatia with like 4M people. looking at that chart, makes Germany look really bad, since Spain has a ton more players in top leagues in Europe than Germany. Biggest economy in Europe and one of the most populace and yet in terms of player production (not talent) we are low.

Also alarming the amount of players that go abroad, flop and never end up being the same again. Within the last several years this includes the likes of Holtby, Wollscheid, Kirchhoff, Hegeler etc who were considered solid BL players but fell off the map after. Also Phil Hofmann, Hennings, Polter, Srbeny all getting lost in the Championship. Whereas if they spent a couple more seasons forming their game, they may have actually made it into 1BL. Yes Hennings is in with Fortuna now but he's 30 now and wasted 2-3 years doing nothing.
I think the Germans that play in top leagues tend to do well but the ones in 2nd division and a lot of lower leagues are flops. Scotland 2 Germans there both irrelevant Greece 3 Germans there all irrelevant in Eredivisie or Dutch 2nd division there are a decent amount that also seem to be struggling. from England more flops if you count Kachunga, Quaner and supposedly Hefele has been a bust in Championship. but yeah Germans in Championshipe have been a bust. They have crap agents+desire to play in England instead of trying to become 1BL players and then go to England later in life.
