with the Swiss Kobel gone on loan, looks like it could be chance for some young GK.

An external replacement for Kobel is not expected at the official training start of TSG Hoffenheim on January 7th. "We have exciting talents in our academy and we also want to give them the chance to show themselves before we decide on the composition of our goalkeeping team for the second half," explains Alexander Rosen. "Especially in this position, we have had very good experience with this approach in the recent past," says Rosen and refers to the examples Marvin Schwäbe (now the main goalkeeper at the Danish top team Bröndby Copenhagen) and Kobel. Both have made their way from the TSG youth into the squad of the licensing team.

could be a chance for 99-Drljaca or 01-Klein.

-looks like F.Muller although the bigger GK talent might have lost his #1 position at Mainz due to his injuries. Once again, these injuries are costing youngsters chance to cement themselves.

This speaks for Müller: went after the retirement of Adler as number 1 in the season. Is considered the more talented goalkeeper, but who could put on more training. Goalkeeping coach Kuhnert once said that he has never trained a bigger talent. Also highly traded in the U21 national team of coach Kuntz. Müller is firmly scheduled in Mainz as the number 1 of the future. Very strong games last season in Hamburg and Dortmund, when he was almost alone guarantor of success.

Conclusion: For coach Schwarz , there is really no reason to change now - because of the perfect preliminary Zentner has just ahead! The decisive factor will be how Müller presents himself. He has yet to prove that he is already the old man after his two-month injury.

-meanwhile 3rd Liga club Karlsruher have called up the following players to Winter Camp.
Jensen, Mensah, Kother, and Batmaz (still eligible for Germany, last played for Turkey in 2016, 2 friendlies for Turkey U17.)

99-Vujinovic seems headed out possibly loan.

will be interesting to see where Hack lands. I think Furth have already too many players that fit Hack's position though.

looks like Maurice Malone is in the Ausgburg camp.

    while a 98-Jakob update.
"Only Kilian Jakob and Christoph Janker, who have now both just recovered from their injuries, completed a separate training session consisting of light passing drills with the fitness coach."

both 99-Drljaca or 01-Klein.are in the Hoff Winter Camp (as well as the 35 year old GK Stolz), while D.Otto and Geiger are doing individual training although more precautionary on Geiger's part. No idea if Amade is in the camp.

while 99-Harant seems all but official that he's going on loan to RL to Germania Halberstadt.

-in a friendly vs fellow 1BL side Fortuna (which beat Dortmund 2-1 during the season) winning 3-2. Dortmund conceded 1 in each half. Pieper played the 1st half, Burnic got 27 minutes, Raschl started the game and stayed the longest from the XI players getting 64 minutes. Schwermann got 26 minutes as a sub. In the end outside of Hitz, Dortmund played with 22 field players.

not that it matters to either Pieper and Schwermann since Dortmund will be buying a new cb anyways. Pieper as a 98 should consider playing higher than RL. Even Burnic is just a back up player, he needs to get real game time.

Fortuna had 98-Galle and Barkok play the entire 2nd half.

-Gladbch played Beyer, Neuhaus, Bennetts and Musel. Only the 1st 2 are regular 1st team players.

-FCN drew an Eredivisie club 1-1 with Knoll scoring the goal.
Played: Muhl, Knoll, Kraulich,Harlass, Fuchs, Engelhardt, Tillman

Only the 1st 2 started the rest were 2nd half subs, Engelhardt only played like 7 min.
guys like Goden and Lowen are not yet fit so didn't play.

Kiel beat some Belgium 2nd division club 2-0. With Serra scoring one.
1st half: Reimann, Sicker, Karazor, Pernot, Sander, Morschel, Awuku, Serra
2nd half: Reimann, Fleckstein, Pernot, Njinmah, Alt,

Serra's goal was assisted by Morschel while Awuku was very close to scoring.

looking at quick reactions to Raschl and all I saw were + responses, showing lots of potential.

guys like Burnic and Weigl seem headed out whether now or Summer. So there could be openings in midfield.

@Karl-Heinz Riedle since you trash the 01 all the time.

wonder what are your current thoughts on Ole Pohlmann? who you used to rate a lot.

lol, he seems to be acting like a pro's personal life without being a pro. Thats a good way to waste your potential. So the club does nothing about these issue and proceed as if nothing?

looks like Musel played a good game from a quick look online. Seems to have been very active in the 2nd half when he came on. Same game Hecking trashed the team for their attitude. Well at least the youngster doesn't seem to be one of those.

-Eckert played 16 min in a 2-1 loss in La Liga today.

-98 GK Benda in England seems to have fans at Swansea. Before the FA Cup game.
Nordfeldt is likely to get the nod against Dean Smith's side - although there are calls from the fanbase for Steven Benda to get a game.

same thing happened last season and even this one. This season the youngster made the 1st team bench in Championship 3 times, although hes still the 3rd GK there.

    Maybe he just doesn’t listen

I think the club would love to have him as a good prospect too. He has good height n pace n skill, if he can work on his finishing, his physique n aerial ability, he can be a force at this age group. But he didn’t

he still has 1 and a half season in U19, it's not too late. So a player doesn't listen to his coaches and club and does whatever he wants. No punishment for any of that?

as for Harant it's interesting that he's a cb and cf option, wonder which one he'll end up as?

I think Harant will play as a CB, easier for breaking out

It’s an advice to Ole Pohlmann, not an order. He can listen for his own good. Nothing compulsory

point is that he's playing for a club and his coaches can order him around. Yet are they doing so?

seems likely to follow Herrmann in Wolfsburg II rather than 1st team if they both stay at the club.

    Asllani seems rated at Union.

Unions Fisnik Asllani (16) is considered a storm gem. Young head coach Hofschneider holds a lot of talent.

On Tuesday (10 clock) trains Union for the first time in the new year. In the second half of the season, home-grown players like defender Lennard Maloney (19) and striker Berkan Taz (20) have only limited chances. The offspring is having a hard time. Is there anyway a youth player who has what it takes to become the next Steven Skrzybski (26)?

André Hofschneider (48), since October 1, head coach at the junior performance center: "It is difficult to make reliable forecasts a few years before the transition. In the B-youth we have with Fisnik Asllani a player whose scorer statistics is two-digit. He has quality in front of goal. "

"We bring up too few players"
Asllani (16) came in 2016 from BFC Dynamo. In the U17 Bundesliga, in the Union in fifth place overwintered, the German with Kosovar roots met 20 times. Hofschneider: "He is a very interesting player. Of course, he has to learn to deal with success. But right now he's in the lead. "

Skrzybski also needed time to prevail among the pros. Meanwhile, he starts by. The striker from his own stable changed after 142 competitive games for Union (30 goals) in the summer of 2018 for 3.2 million euros to Schalke and met this season after all, already three times in the Bundesliga for the Knappen.Talente promote, is now Hofschneider's job ,

He says, "If we take the last few years, we are not satisfied. We're bringing up too few players to meet the standards. "According to Hofschneider," The players have to bring three years of patience but be ready tomorrow. We want to position ourselves to play new Skrzybskis, new Quirings and new Jopeks in the stadium. "
    https://www.bz-berlin.de/berlin-sport/union-berlin/wird-er-bei-union-der-neue-skrzybski

not surprising that they don't bring up many players since Union have no reserve team and their Academy isn't as big as Herthas. And the ones they do promote (meet their standards) don't get real chances, so lack experience.

for 00s wonder about Eidtner's future? Although seems like 00-Maurice Opfermann is with 1st team.

also so Asllani not rated by other U17 players but rated by his own club.....

Asllani will continue playing for Kosovo U17. He is still open for a change, since he was very happy with the DFB invitation before, but he wanna keep options opened for now.

I think his case is quite similar to Mo Kramny, i talked to an A license coach recently. He coached a U19 team in A-Jugend Sud, he rated Kramny very highly but seems off the radar for DFB.

And surprisingly , this coach suddenly pointed out Denis Borkowski as his favorite 2002 striker. He said his development has been amazing.

Borkowski can play numerous position n is probably 186-187cm now, has improved a lot on his physique. He had some injuries earlier this season but he is on great form.,

No idea why transfermarkt always have him wrongly positioned. He is playing well as a centre forward.

Ware Pakia, Woltemade, Adeyemi, Borkowski, Kramny, Asllani, Thielmann..........we have some decent strikers in this age group. Thielmann n Adeyemi can play as wing.

for now, i think we should start Borkowski as starting striker, Woltemade as plan B and Adeyemi as starter if we play two strikers.I know Pakia scores a decent amount but thats not my main concern

i certianly hope Germany can start producing keepers, RB, DM and strikers.

    Florian Muller, Fruchtl, Tim Schreiber i see some potential. But for a keeper, emergence is kinda passive;

Right back, i dont have any idea who can be Kimmich's replacement. da Costa seems ok for now but he has his weaknesses. and after Klostermann and Henrichs, i cant see many good RB talents. Passlack is struggling, Ludewig is unknown since hes been injured for a while n that isnt his natural position......maybe Louis Beyer, but he is more like a defensive fullback who can also play as a CB, not much offensively.

    Maybe Amade........and lets hope

    -96 Dieckmann joins Sandhausen.

never played beyond RL, always find it weird when players play such a long time in RL. Soon to be 23 and finally jumps to a higher level.

-another 96 but this one who's career has been crashing for awhile. Joins the #1 team in Switzerland.

-98 Sontheimer seems headed for a 3rd Liga loan.
-D.Otto yesterday was doing individual training today was today team trainning

-interesting in a friendly vs Standard Liege which Mainz lost 3-2. F.Muller started the game and kept the clean sheet in the 1st half , 2-0 lead. And then Zentner took over for the 2nd half and conceded 3 to lose. Oztunali, Baku and Gurleyen were also involved.
-Sam Schreck started the 1st half in a 4-0 win for Bayer vs Twente, although I thought he was headed for a loan?

-Seydel seems to be still unfit and there is no timeframe for a return. Looks like his giant size has delayed his comeback. At this rate he'll waste the whole doing rehab. Wasn't really productive last season and now this season injury issues. That's one step forward then 2 backwards for him.
