Christian Pulisic at AC Milan

Discussion in 'Yanks Abroad' started by Balerion, Jun 30, 2014.

  1. I'm curious about the confrontation on Friday with Feyenoord. Peter Bosz last week had said that Feyenoord doesnot stand a chance against the BuLi top teams (=top 6).
So I wonder if we're going to get spanked.

Is this transfer different from most? Technically he is a Borussia Dortmund player until the end of the season when he becomes a Chelsea player as per terms of the agreement. Did I miss something? I'll admit I was away a bit over the holidays.

The way it has been reported, he officially signed with Chelsea on Jan 2nd. Chelsea than loan him back to BvB for the rest of the season.

So technically, if I understood it correctly, he's a Chelsea player that is out on loan.

which entitles him to whatever he's earned with Dortmund if I'm not mistaken.

I still think he should have gone to Chelsea right away because... well, it's pointless trying to explain here. You'll realize why in a couple of months.

BM is bidding $35M pounds for Odoi, who has a total of 3 EPL and 4 Europa appearances in his career. Pulisic has 81 BL and 26 CL/Euorpa appearances.

Pulisic's $57M pounds move is not that crazy, when you put things in perspective.

Not to mention, Juventus and Dortmund have checked in as well. Juve has apparently bid 30 million as well. I would rather he go to Juve than Bayern since I hate them.

So he is making speculatively 7-9 million dollars from chelsea/ year. Nike if we can infer from 60 minutes interview 6 million/year. Plus probably 7 million€ from transfer plus he def kept whatever bonuses if bvb win cup league cl....that means as a 20 year old he will make around north of 20 million this year.... I wonder what the highest paid 20 year athelete has ever earned and where he places on that list.... I guess some nba ballers may be above his total package?

When i look at these numbers it is hard not to argue that he should go to chelsea as a bench fringe player.

If that 20M number is accurate, in 1 year he's earning what most American soccer players will make in their entire career in Euro.

This is, in fact, what is meant by "Chelsea style."

So I'm watching Hudson-Odoi play on the right in the Carabao Cup against Spurs and holy shit he looks good. If Chelsea can convince him and Hazard to stay they'll be dangerous next season.

That mean Pulisic will be doing what he does right now at Dortmund..........spending lots of time on the bench.

Willian looks past it. If anything he should be coming off the bench if Pulisic can regain his form.

When I've seen him, Hudson Odoi has looked very limited. I believe in CP, to play at a high level he needs to beat out good players.
