'White Male Party' LOL No, Blacks and Latinos have been brainwashed and pandered to, to the point where we're 'traitors' if we're not a leftist. Luckily that is changing, and there's a lot more of us beginning to think for ourselves, whether you agree with their opinions or not.

Sidenote: What do you have against white males? Are you racist? Would it be ok if someone tried to demonize a party by calling it the 'Black Male Party'?

And just to make it clear NO, i'm not a trump supporter or a conservative.

Um, nothing. Considering this is our first interaction. You don't have to watch it, just read the title and description. I like how your only response is to say you're not checking the link I posted LOL You seem like such an objective, open-minded, and tolerant guy! haha

Yeah Sure. Our first interaction with your sock. But as a general rule, posting videos from Fox is not how you would win over a mind. Specially not when you use the same recycled argument that "other conservative posters" have used.

The Guardian has a good review of the video though..

    https://www.theguardian.com/us-news...black-leadership-summit-white-house-east-room

Apart from some toe-curling jokes, paeans to Kanye West, rants against Democrats, “globalists” and the media, an admission that his unqualified housing secretary was appointed on a whim and a rudimentary factual mistake regarding White House history, not a lot.

Donald Trump, hosting guests from the 2018 Young Black Leadership Summit, entered the East Room on Friday with a broad smile and to rapturous cheers, chants of “USA! USA!” and a forest of raised fists and phones. Once he got the arrest of a mail bombings suspect out of the way, the autocrat-cum-standup comedian routine could begin.

“Kanye’s a great guy,” he said of the eccentric rapper. “A little different, do we say? He’s a little different. But he’s a smart guy and a good guy.”
Yeah, no way I'm watching that. But feel free to tell me in your own words why a latino or a black person should support the most racist, xenophobic and misogynistic person in the US.

We've never spoken dude. And I don't know why you keep talking about my socks.

I'm not conservative. I don't claim any ideology or tribe. I try to be objective, open-minded, and understanding. And hold true to my principals/values of freedom, small govt, strong communities, Capitalism, environmental protection, and 'being the change you want to see'. Besides, I believe the votes you cast with your dollars everyday are way more important than the vote you cast once every 4 years.

    Ok, what's your excuse now?

So you'll let the guardian think for you instead of actually making up your own mind? Makes sense.

"the most racist, xenophobic and misogynistic person in the US" Yeah, sorry but that's not true man. And the video I posted is evidence against that, and there's plenty of it. Stop letting the leftist media tell you what to think. They love to imply the right and trump are racist, but if you're being OBJECTIVE you see that it's not true. I hope you're open minded enough to look at the evidence against this narrative. After all, that would be the rational thing to do right? Or do you just always blindly believe what you WANT to be true?

I call you a nice sock because it's so funny to have a new poster coming straight to the dark political thread in a sub sub sub forum of a barely popular sport specific forum, that has a great total of 7 participants, 4 of which have not posted in over a month. But yeah, let me know how you came here all on your own.

The independent centrist overture. Yeah, tell me how you have voted in the last 4 or so presidential and midterms. That tells me more than your "centrist balanced" approach.

Ok i'll address your suspicions of my origins(paranoid much?) lol I've been reading these forums for years since the first game of the 2010 qualifiers against brazil. I'm Colombian from LA, CA, I mostly come to read info and interact less, to avoid internet debates like this :) I first watched Colombia play in Copa america 2007 with edixon perea, roda, yepes, cordoba, ferreira , calero etc. and fell in love even though it was a very lamentable result for us. Happy?

Voted Obama in 08 ( I was young and dumb, it was my first election). Gary Johnson 2012, Nobody 2016(No candidate appealed to me, and I'm believing less and less that voting for politicians is the way to make the world a better place)

How would the video add nothing? YOU say he's racist against blacks, in the video he's speaking to a room full of black conservatives, and not being racist, in fact he is being the opposite. That's evidence against your narrative.

Great, you have your evidence. And I'm familiar with it. I find much of it to be flimsy, not valid, and grasping at straws. He's not the most PC guy, and he could say things in a much better way, but people love to over react and play the victim like with the mexican comment, it wasnt racist. My mexican friends had no issue with it. You take that evidence to determine truth correct? How can you determine truth if you don't take in to consideration the counter evidence? I would say the counter-evidence outweighs your evidence.

You fell in love with Rodallega and Edixon? Sock. Tell me your two favorite players from Copa America 2016.

I don't believe you. Why didn't you vote for Johnson again? I think you voted Trump, but anyways how is the non politician as President working out for you? We're having record deficits, indictments galore and a government shutdown in its third week over a paltry sum for an unneeded waste.

LOL. That's worst than "My best friend is black" deflection.

LOL. A whole wikipedia page and the constant repetition of racist memes, not to mention hiring only racist white people for his cabinet. Yeah.. Your Mexican friends... LOL.. Your best friend is black too?

    https://www.vox.com/2016/7/25/12270880/donald-trump-racism-history

Here’s a breakdown of Trump’s history, taken largely from Dara Lind’s list for Vox and an op-ed by Nicholas Kristof in the New York Times:

    • 1973: The US Department of Justice — under the Nixon administration, out of all administrations — sued the Trump Management Corporation for violating the Fair Housing Act. Federal officials found evidence that Trump had refused to rent to black tenants and lied to black applicants about whether apartments were available, among other accusations. Trump said the federal government was trying to get him to rent to welfare recipients. In the aftermath, he signed an agreement in 1975 agreeing not to discriminate to renters of color without admitting to discriminating before.
    • 1980s: Kip Brown, a former employee at Trump's Castle, accused another one of Trump's businesses of discrimination. "When Donald and Ivana came to the casino, the bosses would order all the black people off the floor," Brown said. "It was the eighties, I was a teenager, but I remember it: They put us all in the back."
    • 1988: In a commencement speech at Lehigh University, Trump spent much of his speechaccusing countries like Japan of "stripping the United States of economic dignity." This matches much of his current rhetoric on China.
    • 1989: In a controversial case that’s been characterized as a modern-day lynching, four black teenagers and one Latino teenager — the "Central Park Five" — were accused of attacking and raping a jogger in New York City. Trump immediately took charge in the case, running an ad in local papers demanding, "BRING BACK THE DEATH PENALTY. BRING BACK OUR POLICE!" The teens’ convictions were later vacated after they spent seven to 13 years in prison, and the city paid $41 million in a settlement to the teens. But Trump in October 2016 said he still believes they’re guilty, despite the DNA evidence to the contrary.
    • 1991: A book by John O’Donnell, former president of Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, quoted Trump’s criticism of a black accountant: "Black guys counting my money! I hate it. The only kind of people I want counting my money are short guys that wear yarmulkes every day. … I think that the guy is lazy. And it’s probably not his fault, because laziness is a trait in blacks. It really is, I believe that. It’s not anything they can control." Trump at first denied the remarks, but later said in a 1997 Playboy interview that "the stuff O’Donnell wrote about me is probably true."
    • 1992: The Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino had to pay a $200,000 fine because it transferred black and women dealers off tables to accommodate a big-time gambler’s prejudices.
    • 2000: In opposition to a casino proposed by the St. Regis Mohawk tribe, which he saw as a financial threat to his casinos in Atlantic City, Trump secretly ran a series of adssuggesting the tribe had a "record of criminal activity [that] is well documented."
    • 2004: In season two of The Apprentice, Trump fired Kevin Allen, a black contestant, for being overeducated. "You're an unbelievably talented guy in terms of education, and you haven’t done anything," Trump said on the show. "At some point you have to say, ‘That’s enough.’"
    • 2005: Trump publicly pitched what was essentially The Apprentice: White People vs. Black People. He said he "wasn't particularly happy" with the most recent season of his show, so he was considering "an idea that is fairly controversial — creating a team of successful African Americans versus a team of successful whites. Whether people like that idea or not, it is somewhat reflective of our very vicious world."
    • 2010: In 2010, there was a huge national controversy over the "Ground Zero Mosque" — a proposal to build a Muslim community center in Lower Manhattan, near the site of the 9/11 attacks. Trump opposed the project, calling it "insensitive," and offered to buy out one of the investors in the project. On The Late Show With David Letterman, Trump argued, referring to Muslims, "Well, somebody’s blowing us up. Somebody’s blowing up buildings, and somebody’s doing lots of bad stuff."
    • 2011: Trump played a big role in pushing false rumors that Obama — the country’s first black president — was not born in the US. He even sent investigators to Hawaii to look into Obama's birth certificate. Obama later released his birth certificate, calling Trump a "carnival barker." (The research has found a strong correlation between "birtherism," as this conspiracy theory is called, and racism.) Trump has reportedly continued pushing this conspiracy theory in private.
    • 2011: While Trump suggested that Obama wasn’t born in the US, he also argued that maybe Obama wasn’t a good enough student to have gotten into Columbia or Harvard Law School, and demanded Obama release his university transcripts. Trump claimed, "I heard he was a terrible student. Terrible. How does a bad student go to Columbia and then to Harvard?"
    • Trump launched his campaign in 2015 by calling Mexican immigrants "rapists" who are "bringing crime" and "bringing drugs" to the US. His campaign was largely built on building a wall to keep these immigrants out of the US.
    • As a candidate in 2015, Trump called for a ban on all Muslims coming into the US. His administration’s attempts at implementing a watered-down version of this policy have been contested in courts.
    • When asked at a 2016 Republican debate whether all 1.6 billion Muslims hate the US, Trump said, "I mean a lot of them. I mean a lot of them."
    • He argued in 2016 that Judge Gonzalo Curiel — who was overseeing the Trump University lawsuit — should recuse himself from the case because of his Mexican heritage and membership in a Latino lawyers association. House Speaker Paul Ryan, who endorsed Trump, later called such comments "the textbook definition of a racist comment."
    • Trump has been repeatedly slow to condemn white supremacists who endorse him, and he regularly retweeted messages from white supremacists and neo-Nazis during his presidential campaign.
    • He tweeted and later deleted an image that showed Hillary Clinton in front of a pile of money and by a Jewish Star of David that said, "Most Corrupt Candidate Ever!" The tweet had some very obvious anti-Semitic imagery, but Trump insisted that the star was a sheriff’s badge, and said his campaign shouldn’t have deleted it.
    • Trump has repeatedly referred to Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), who has said she has Cherokee ancestors, as "Pocahontas."
    • At the 2016 Republican convention, Trump officially seized the mantle of the "law and order" candidate — an obvious dog whistle playing to white fears of black crime, even though crime in the US is historically low. His speeches, comments, and executive actions after he took office have continued this line of messaging.
    • In a pitch to black voters in 2016, Trump said, "You’re living in poverty, your schools are no good, you have no jobs, 58 percent of your youth is unemployed. What the hell do you have to lose?"
    • Trump stereotyped a black reporter at a press conference in February 2017. When April Ryan asked him if he plans to meet and work with the Congressional Black Caucus, he repeatedly asked her to set up the meeting — even as she insisted that she’s "just a reporter."
    • In the week after white supremacist protests in Charlottesville, Virginia, in August 2017, Trump repeatedly said that "many sides" and "both sides" were to blame for the violence and chaos that ensued — suggesting that the white supremacist protesters were morally equivalent to counterprotesters that stood against racism. He also said that there were "some very fine people" among the white supremacists. All of this seemed like a dog whistle to white supremacists — and many of them took it as one, with white nationalist Richard Spencer praising Trump for "defending the truth."
    • Throughout 2017, Trump repeatedly attacked NFL players who, by kneeling or otherwise silently protesting during the national anthem, demonstrated against systemic racism in America.
    • Trump reportedly said in 2017 that people who came to the US from Haiti "all have AIDS," and he lamented that people who came to the US from Nigeria would never "go back to their huts" once they saw America. The White House denied that Trump ever made these comments.
    • Speaking about immigration in a bipartisan meeting in January 2018, Trump reportedly asked, in reference to Haiti and African countries, "Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?" He then reportedly suggested that the US should take more people from countries like Norway. The implication: Immigrants from predominantly white countries are good, while immigrants from predominantly black countries are bad.
    • Trump denied making the "shithole" comments, although some senators present at the meeting said they happened. The White House, meanwhile, suggested that the comments, like Trump’s remarks about the NFL protests, will play well to his base. The only connection between Trump’s remarks about the NFL protests and his "shithole" comments is race.
Also, his appeal is yuuuuge with racists, xenophobes and misogynists:

Bro I went to the game against the US and the game against paraguay. And I fell in love with the team, guy.

I wish I voted for trump just so I could piss everyone off lol Why would I lie? If i did i would proudly say it. I think politics does way more harm than good and I don't measure the state of the country by the state of the govt. So it's working out pretty great. Realizing true change and progress comes from community, culture, education/knowledge and social entrepreneurship and not politics is so liberating

I provide evidence and you laugh it off as if it's not valid, that says alot about your mentality and bias. I would say video evidence of him interacting with people is much more valid than claims and accusations.

Like I said i'm familiar with the so called evidence you posted. Much of it is not very good evidence to prove he is racist if you're being rational, objective, and reasonable. But if you WANT to believe he's a KKK member then yeah it's great evidence.

To sum it up bc I don't really care about politics, I care about truth. The reason I engaged in this convo is bc I see you and so many other blacks, latinos, leftists etc. crying wolf about the right and trump being racist. Playing the victim and willfully bending the evidence to fit your narrative. If you want to criticize their policies go ahead I have no problem. But if your default is white men are evil and conservatives are racist and heartless, well then we have a problem because that's not objectively true to any reasonable person. Not to mention constantly talking shit about white males is racist. Ironic huh? I'm all for valid criticism, but all this race-baiting and identity politics is just laughable. I also think this progressive mentality/leftist idealogy and identity politics have really hurt low income black and latino communities. More of us need to be open minded and brave enough to move away from the left. We don't have to think a certain way just because we are black or latino

Anyways, I said what I had to say. I hope you can be open minded enough to try to really understand opposing views and be open to being more objective.

Peace. maybe i'll see you around the forums if i ever decide to post

Look stats about race and sex are meaningless. Doesn’t mean X or Y are racist. Tho republicans are def racist. Most CEOs are white and male are just because of the head start they have had for so long.

Over time stats change tho those stats are pretty bad for republican standpoint. If in 50 years we don’t have more hispanic and black people in power then that is on us not on white men. Fine they had a head start and will continue to have it easier but at what point is it on us to man up or want get more motivated.

I feel we should have more then 2 parties.

I would like a socially liberal party that is financial responsible without being super racist. Or thinking hey let’s be financially responsible or bitch about it only when we aren’t in power. I also really hate super liberal people who get offended at everything. No Megan you with blond hair and blue eyes shouldn’t be offended by a Hispanic joke by a black guy because your boyfriend is tan.

Also the Bernie side of the Democratic Party needs to break away from the regular part of it. It is the reason Hilary lost ( other then the bullshit electoral college) but they just aren’t the same party.

I like the Cortez lady from NY and think she has good ideas. The whole how do we pay for it argument is ridiculous. As how do we pay for so much military and farm subsidies when the farmers and military are like dudes we are Good.

Half True. There is a party that decided that representation of people of different races and sexual orientation is important. The other party decided to represent the interests of aging white males. Who do you think has a more diverse base?

Half True again. I just read that Black democrats in congress are like 13% of their delegation, pretty similar to their share of the population. But the road to get there has not been easy and republicans have fought against minorities since the parties switched platforms back in the 1960s. Gerrymandering, vote suppression and collusion are some of the ways that the GOP have achieved their unrepresentative majority, so it's not like minorities are not trying, but that the republicans have put all the obstacles they can in their way.

And you might be right, but we need to change the system for that. Something that neither of the two major parties want.

LOL. I think that you are mixing too many issues, but definitely we would have better representation on the issues if we had 3 or 4 major parties.

Two things. AOC has been in congress for a grand total of 4 days. First we need to see if she can learn the ropes and get any legislation passed. Bernie Sanders for example, also talks big game, but he has managed to pass only a couple of significant bills in about 20 years in the senate.

Now regarding AOC's ideas, I think she's onto something and for the most part, her proposals would not cost much more than current policies, and/or could be easily paid for by reverting the top marginal tax rates to about 50%, but the question is how to get that on a bill that passes congress and is signed by the president. Hopefully she achieves something and becomes a leading voice in the Democratic party, but in the meanwhile, she's just serving as a demonizing tool for the GOP. Look!!! Venezuela!!!!

1st off Dapip. I agree with most of the stuff you are posting but living in a super liberal place shit needs to change.

My thing is I don’t vote for someone because they are Hispanic or look like me. I won’t do it.

Tho I wouldn’t vote for a republican because they are racist. Last republican I would have voted for was McCain but he is dead so that point is mute.

Problem with liberals is the whole hey let me
In. Bring your numbers up. I am not about hiring because you look like me or voting because you look me. That is why they lose.

Republicans to me are come mierdas. They hate gays and minoritirs until they adopt one or their kids marry one. We can’t wait til every racist white dude gets a gay grandson who loves BBC :)

Liberals have ideas that are great and easy to market but then spend their whole time talking about social shit that is easy for the right to manipulate.

Immigrants are bad.... response so your Grandparents are Native Americans? Or came on the May flower? What is your favorite food?

They are taking American jobs? You smart enough to be a doctor? You want to pick fruit or clean bathrooms?

They aren’t sending their best!!! Well neither did Europe. Or Asia. Most people who came and made this place great needed to flee for a better life for their families. My parents came for that. Their siblings who are doctors in Barranquilla did not.

Gays are evil and will turn you gay!!! In college I was offered a 6 way. 4 super hot girls and 1 gay guy. It was a hard pass. If a hot gay guy offers you a BJ and you accept then you are gay. What stops you from
Not being gay shouldn’t be the offer.

Democrats don’t care about Christ and will end marriages. Divorce rate is pretty bad and from catholic school pretty sure Jesus would want us to help the poor, the under privileged and misrepresented. Or else I read a way different bible then republicans did.

Man, what a word salad. Two things:

    1. Democrats are not using the gender/race card; that is a republican talking point. What we are saying, is that government and places of work should look more like the society they're based on; there are some caveats and limitations, but if you have a super white firm in the middle of diverse educated thriving community, there are probably some race issues there. I don't recall exactly the study, but there was also a lot of bias in the IT sector against women, and they are totally underrepresented when you control for degrees and other stuff.

    2. There's a messaging problem for sure, but there's also a problem with media bias. On top of that 35-40% of the voters are impervious to Democratic messaging. It's not that Hillary failed at presenting their policies, is that the MSM focused on personalities and scandals; it is not that Hillary didn't propose things to help republican areas of the country, is that people in those areas would not listen to her, but would aw at Individual 1 and his rambling.

You need to talk to those crazy people tho

When they go around saying Jews will not replace them. You ask what in the fk are you talking about !!!

When they go Democrat’s only care about minorities and gays and not white people. Again you go just because all people should be treated the same doesn’t mean you are against white people

Being against Christ. Man Hispanics and blacks are what 98% Christian?

You can’t write off 50-60 million people no matter how stupid.

I have friends from elementary school who moved from Ct to NYC and then cry about gentrification. It’s like everyone wants to live in NYC. Who can afford it gets to live there tough luck. You have idiots on both sides.

Writing off student loans shouldn’t happen. You made your decision live with it. The rates shouldn’t fluctuate and should be much lower but some of the things people want are crazy. I could have gone to better schools but my tuition was higher so I went to where you get the most money then transferred.

Problem with the right is they don’t get some people are born in different position in life

The left uses it as an excuse. Man up and just because you started in a worst spot doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try to get out of the shit situation you were born in.

The funniest liberal saying is a woman makes 30 cents less then a a man. This is incorrect. A white woman makes 30 cents less then a white man. She still makes more then hispanic and black men. Hispanic women make a little more then 50 cents what a white guy makes. Everyone should be paid fairly and regardless of race/gender but this talking point I find insulting when others have it much worse.

Now white people make more money. Well tall white people make more money. Sadly that is what most people find attractive. Attractive people make more money. If you are attractive work sales.
