man i almost paid up for espn+ just to watch the derby game today, Mount has scored on his competitive debut for Derby. john swift started for reading by the way. he's their number 10.
Think of all the extra time he has to spend with his family now. I mean, that was 100% the reason right? Not any sort of excuse to push for a transfer?

I absolutely loved watching Joe Cole play. Such a breath of fresh air. He spent the last few seasons playing for Tampa Bay in the US's NASL. Humbling, to say the least. But if you read interviews he gave, you'll see how passionate he was about the sport and his desire to coach/manage one day. Joe's had many great moments as a Blue (scoring against United was up there), but my favorite moment was one he'd likely want to forget. I was in a bar in NYC with a buddy (the old Navada Smiths - legendary place; shithole now) and we were watching Chelsea-Newcastle. Cole was absolutely wrecked in a tackle by Scotty Parker. It was a remarkable tackle that launched Cole into orbit. My friend and I reacted with loud "Holy Shit's" but absolutely no one else in the bar reacted. I guess maybe because it was 730 in the morning, but anyway. If Cole coaches anything like he gets tackled, he'll be great.

Madrid lost 2-0 to Sociedad over the weekend. Guess which keeper got scored on twice? At least his kids were close to see it. Don't care that his defense is leaving him out to dry.
He just signed a deal to extend him to 2021. More likely to increase his transfer value. He's gotten a raw deal. Quality keeper. Won 3 CL's. Surprised he wants to stick around. Tons of clubs could go for him.
Yep, he was a great player. He is also a telly pundit in the UK, and is very loyal in his comments about Chelsea. Loved him as a player. However, I have to say he is pretty dim. Lampard on the other hand, sharp as a razor.
Excellent read regarding Joe Cole, who is now working at the academy. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/footbal...view-15-story-came-5000-week-wasnt-true-just/
