Romanian forward, Vlad Morar, has an offer from South Korea. Currently playing for Panetolikos in the Greek league (36 appearance, 15 goals). He also has offers from the Netherlands, Poland, and Romania. According to an interview, he states that if he chooses South Korea, it is because the money is better.

One rumoured club is FC Seoul.

Jeonnam is set to appoint Paulo Sergio Bento Brito as the new manager. The Portuguese has managed Sporting CP, APOEL, and CFR Cluj in his career. Also, he has won the 2012 Scottish cup with the Hearts. He is currently manager of the Iranian side, Sanat Naft Abadan.

^ And so the Portuguese connection begins. Dang, that's already two Portuguese managers within our domestic league, three total if you count the national team: Paulo Bento (KNT), José Morais (Jeonbuk Hyundai), Paulo Sérgio Bento Brito (Jeonnam Dragons).

Jeonnam did not hire Paulo Sergio Bento Brito. Instead, they have appointed Brazilian, Fabiano Soares Pessoa, as the new manager. Fabiano was recently the manager of the Brazilian side, Athletico Paranaense, and the Portuguese side, Estoril. He is Jeonnam's first ever foreign manager.

Pohang are closed to signing Brazilian forward, David da Silva, who recently played for the Indonesian side, Persebaya Surabaya. He has made 23 appearances and scored 20 goals for them. Pohang are definitely trying to emulate the success of Daegu (Edgar) and Ulsan (Junior Negrao) with signing a Brazilian from the Southeast Asian league.

Jeonbuk are closed to signing Sagan Tosu defender, Kim Min-hyeok. They are also interested in Gangwon goalkeeper, Lee Beom-young, who is also attracting attention from Sagan Tosu.

Kim Min-hyeok is more likely a replacement for Hong Jeong-ho. Hong Jeong-ho still stuck in China like Kim Young-gwon. However, Jeonbuk are still linked with Lim Chae-min from Seongnam which means Kim Min-jae's departure is also near.

Ulsan, like Jeonbuk, are rebuilding their team for the upcoming season. Kim Bo-kyung joins Ulsan on loan from Kashiwa Reysol.

Gyeognam defender, Park Ji-soo, is set to join a Chinese club. About a week ago, Chinese media reported that Shandong Luneng were going to sign a Korean player, so I'm guessing that it's him. Hopefully, Gyeongnam got a good fee because they need to start rebuilding as soon as they can esp. with the ACL coming up. They have lost Choi Young-jun, Park Ji-soo, and possibly Marcao (they have been working on getting his replacement).

Kim Jong-boo's contract has been extended and will not leave to China.

Argentine striker, Tobias Figueroa, has an offer from Korea. Scored 14 goals in 29 appearances for the Chilean side, Union Espanola. Offer could either be from Gyeongnam or Busan (stated they were signing one foreign forward).

Gyeongnam are the ones who gave him a chance to be a professional footballer at a higher level and got his first international cap due to them. I'm sure Park Ji Soo has only things to say about them

Australian media is reporting that 3 K-League clubs (Jeonnam, Busan, and Suwon FC) are interested in 3 Australian defenders: Nick Ansell (Melbourne Victory), Jordan Elsey (Adelaide United), and an unnamed Brisbane Roar defender. The unnamed Brisbane Roar defender might be former Gyeongnam defender, Luke DeVere. The article also mentions that both James Donachie (Jeonnam) and Adrian Leijer (Suwon) might leave their clubs.

Ulsan and Suwon Bluewings are also looking for Australian players right now. Ulsan was linked with Rhy Williams a couple of times and Suwon are looking for an Asian player (Aussie or Uzbek).

Well, it looks like Park Ji-soo is moving to China, but it's is Guangzhou Evergrande and not Shandong Luneng. Estimated transfer fee is $2 million USD. Shame Gyeongnam couldn't get more for him. It's going to be a tough season for Gyeongnam if they don't find the right replacements. (Marcao most likely leaving as well)

For Park Ji-soo, I think he knows that he will not be called up to the national team again or get a European move. With his military service also coming up, I think it was a good move financially for him. However, since +1 Asian quota spot was not revived in the Chinese league, his playing time situation will be more or less the same as Kim Young-gwon, Hong Jeong-ho, and Kim Ju-young. Good luck to him though.

Signing Kwak Tae-hwi is kind of confusing. The man is definitely past it and all he brings to the team is experience, but that's about it. He was bench (or injured) most of his time at FC Seoul, so I doubt he would even start at Gyeongnam.

I don't think Gyeongnam really cares. They gave up all their best players (Choi Young Hoon, Park Ji Soon, and soon Marcao).

With the ACL coming up, I'm pretty sure they do.

It's just more difficult for citizen clubs like Gyeongnam to hold onto key players unlike the chaebol clubs like Ulsan and Jeonbuk. Even before the season ended, the media predicted that good number of core players were going to leave Gyeongnam due to financial reasons. Thankfully, they have NH Nonghyup as their new sponsor, so I'm hoping that will alleviate some financial burdens they have.

we'll agree to disagree. I'm sure finance has a lot to do with it, but their moves suggest they just want to collect the money from their Champions League appearance and not make it out of the group stages.

Have to give their main scout tons of credit tho for building that Gyeongnam team up.

Damn I think this is a good signing:

Even though Gyeongnam is selling most of its players, all most all the players were from K-league 2 in the 2017 seasons yet they managed to come second place. I just hope this manager can pull his magic again because he's underappreciated. Didn't even win the best manager award. One more good season and I hope he goes to a big team (hopefully Ulsan).

I also wonder when Ulsan will reveal their youth players. Wonder if we are going to sign Choi Jun and that Park guy (striker).

Falkenbergs FF Nigerian forward, Chisom Egbuchulam, is close to joining Suwon FC. Swedish media reported that he was joining an unnamed Asian side on a 2 year contract. He is already following Suwon on Instagram, so the announcement seems imminent. Scored 14 goals in 26 matches last season for Falkenbergs.

Han Sang-woon (Ulsan) and Park Jong-woo (Suwon) have both returned to Busan. Talk about a throw back. All this needs is for Lim Sang-hyub, Kim Chang-soo, and Lee Beom-young returning to Busan as well.

National League side, Busan Transportation Corporation FC, have signed Japanese forward, Shuhei Hoshino, from the Singaporean side, Albirex Niigata Singapore. Hoshino was the 2018 top scorer in the Singapore league last season with 20 goals in 24 matches. He was also in the 2018 Singapore League Best XI.
