Would've been 6-1 for Liverpool in the second half of it wasn't for Leno

Edit: Kolasinac takes down Lovren in the box for another penalty

Imo there was not a single goal where Leno was at fault.

He was also mandatory for Arsenal's goal.

I'm not pointing the finger at Leno for that specific match, it's in general his overall keeping this season, it's been very inconsistent

Trapp is more consistent than Leno but not a fan of either. And with Neuer close to the end too.

its like post Neuer, it's pretty much ter Stegen as the only guarantee and that's 2+ open spots. And currently ter Stegen is the only world class GK.

Germany really needs the next gen GKs to start to breakthrough very soon.

imagine Neuer is gone from NT and ter Stegen gets injured, who becomes #1? Doesn't really look promising and no world class GK to suit up.

even someone like Fahrmann seems to be having form issues this season. The younger GK Nubel (Germany U21 #1) has done better this season when given the chance than Fahrmann. F.Muller has injury issues and he could have lost his #1 spot which would be a shame since the youngsters has impressed.

GK is the hardest position to breakthrough doesn't help.

I think when Florian Muller wasn’t injured, he’s probably one of the best young keepers in Europe (21 or under) this season

He was great this season before the injury.

Name top 4 young keepers (21 or under), I can think of a French called Lafont, Florian Muller, Donnaruma n Meret.

I think the next club that could have an open GK spot is Hertha Berlin. Jarstein is already 34, signed until 2021, Kraft is signed until 2019. Best thing for Germany is if Smarsch wins the 1st place.

also curious to see how Schubert were to do in 1BL, his contract expires in 2019 and has yet to renew.

Fruchtl/Plogmann seem to be like bunch of years away. Although Fruchtl wants a loan move to 2BL in anticipation of becoming #1 this year. Maybe if Schubert leaves Dynamo, Fruchtl can be loaned there.:p

there are others too but seems like their chances is likely injuries, poor form or #1 transfers out.

It's the present way really, if you look at the keepers in the premiership there all prone to some howlers, englands number one pickford been making alarming mistakes recently, so has degea, allisson from Liverpool who's also made one or 2 glaring errors been the best consistently, keepers at the top clubs are now part of the build up play with short long passes as well as organising dead ball situations, clearances, Manuel nuer has blue printed the life of a modern day keeper I guess

General consensus among Arsenal fans on Twitter is that they would have lost a lot worse than 1-3 to Man City today if it wasn't for Bernd Leno.
