since Lewa didn't score today from the top 5, going into the break Werner is in 4th place as he moves ahead of Lewa and still only 1 goal behind 1st/2nd place. this season with no Auba and a Lewa who seems to be downtrending (at least for the 1st half). Seems to be a very open race for top scorer of 1BL.

Rumors linking Werner with Liverpool heating up https://m.sportbild.bild.de/fussbal...pp-liverpool-werner-59182284.sportMobile.html
I think with Liverpools quality attacking options, a move to Liverpool won't be wise for werner unless he's happy as a bench warmer
RB Leipzig want to renew Timo Werner's contract, which expires in 2020, but he's hesitating & is ready to make the next step in his career. If he rejects Leipzig's offer then Liverpool are watching him & realistically a bid of around €40M (£36M) could be accepted. #Bayern legend Stefan Effenberg: " He fits to many clubs - not only to FC Bayern. Maybe he would fit even better to Borussia Dortmund than to Bayern. An attack with Marco Reus, Timo Werner and Jadon Sancho? That would be something -if you had Alcácer or Götze from the bench.[...] pic.twitter.com/zw6eBnqoig— German Football Daily (@GERFootDaily) January 7, 2019
Borussia Dortmund are interested in RB Leipzig’s Timo Werner, and could include Maximilian Philipp as part of a deal to sign the striker, according to Bild. #BVB #RBL— Ronan Murphy (@swearimnotpaul) January 7, 2019

RB Leipzig Manager Ralf Rangnick on Timo Werner to Bayern Munich, to Sky Germany: "If Bayern are serious, then it will be difficult for us. But they often play with one striker, so I see him staying with us for the next two or three years.” #RBL #FCBayern #LFC— Ronan Murphy (@swearimnotpaul) January 20, 2019
Kicker sources: Dortmund will not try to sign Timo Werner. The player does not fit Favre's system, and is believed to already have an agreement with Bayern München. http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...artikel_warum-dortmund-werner-nicht-holt.html
Liverpool will compete with Bayern for the signing of Timo Werner if the player decides not to extend his Leipzig contract. Leipzig offered Timo Werner a new contract including a special release clause of no less than €70m for top clubs including Bayern, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester City, Paris and Juventus. He would become Leipzig's highest earner with €6m/year [Bild] pic.twitter.com/pqNm61cuP8— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) January 23, 2019
For @ESPN he says Werner suits Dortmund's style of play, but his €40M-€50M (£35M-£43M) price would be easier on Bayern. He also mentions #LFC are probably more interested in a versatile CB but could do with a proven goalscorer for the front 3.More ⬇️https://t.co/WyxyjPgffG— LFC Transfer Room (@LFCTransferRoom) January 28, 2019

Sadie #Mané about Timo #Werner: "I like his way of playing: very powerful, good finishing, always with 100 percent". If he had to advise #Werner where his next step should take him, the answer would be clear:"If that really is true, then of course Liverpool! #lfc #rbl (Sp. no assist because it touched defenders but Werner pretty much caused the opening goal vs his former club Stuttgart and all Poulsen had to do was tap in. https://streamja.com/9QWR
really? he played 1BL last season and you have no idea who he is? Bayern are also reported to be paying Arp millions every season, what was the number $4M/season or something like that? Without counting the $3-4M they payed HSV. You don't pay that much for someone for II. More likely either he plays 1BL with HSV or gets loaned to another 1BL club next season. Arp is supposed to go to Bayern either in 2019 or 2020. speaking of style, Arp might be more suited for Bayern than Werner. Especially if you can't count on counters and only play 1 uptop. Bayern are also high on the Dutch 00-Zirkzee.
pretty much why him to Bayern is pointless at least Kovac is honest. Niko Kovač on Timo Werner to Bayern rumours: "We always have to weigh whether and how we can improve. We can buy top people for 50, 60 million, but it's not so easy to put one of them on the bench [.] We have to find a striker who knows about his role behind Lewandowski" [Kicker] pic.twitter.com/OX8pnty2ZA— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) February 19, 2019
