Ref trying really hard not to make a game-deciding call in stoppage time. At least it's gone both ways.
Boca would be the key obviously but I feel very confident i would have remembered something like that. For some reason dabeasely is in the back of my... Maybe rangers?
Wright probably trains extremely well with the first team but is lacking in real game time experience with the first team. A lot of that is involved in him looking 'lost'. Haji is a skilled guy and smooth operator imo.
That phrase has a nasty history. It gets thrown around now but I hate to see it normalized. Not saying you were but people should at least know that bit of history-even soccer fans!
In fairness to Wright, he may not have "known much about it," in that he was basically going on pure instinct, but his split-second decision was the right one, putting his foot out, keeping it flat enough that the ball basically was redirected into goal. If he tries to kick it, the ball goes wide or over the goal, and we'd be having "that" conversation. He did well just to get a foot on it and ensure the ball went into the goal without overstriking it.
Goalscorer @HajiWright is as disappointed as anybody at @s04_us 🎙️ pic.twitter.com/YY04fxXexM— Bundesliga English (@Bundesliga_EN) December 20, 2018
