Two good hustle plays by Pulisic to keep the attacking sequence alive. Good idea on his eventual throughball, but no one read it.
Gotze looks so much more like he knows what to do as an attacking midfielder. Sancho and Pulisic starting to break things down a bit.
Dortmund today reminds me of bad Arsenal under Arsene Wenger. Lots of possession, lots of individual dribbling attempts, usually leading to some panicked passing play in really tight spaces that rarely comes off, resulting in a dearth of actual goalscoring chances.
Another smart simple ball from Sancho. Too little of that from BVB today. Resulting cross is blocked though.
Another bad touch by CP. Can't be bothered. Mind looks elsewhere. Horrible foul on Sancho, obvious card...
A better team gets a goal out of that bad touch. BvB getting frustrated, some fighting going on between players of the two teams.
Sancho another single good move and threatening ball in behind. Corner off the blocked cross, delivered to a dangerous area. Best attacker on the pitch for BVB, should have an assist with that corner maybe...
Sancho dribbles with a purpose: he has his head up and makes the pass at the right point. CP can learn that from him.
Pretty good dribble by CP, 2nd defender tackles ball away for throw. Good d, Fortuna not providing space for dribblers and thus CP is struggling somewhat. Needs to combine well with short passing to break this down, that's the only way IMO.
Sancho created the goal -- great dribbling and yet another dangerous ball in behind. Very nice chip cross and header. Sancho best player on the pitch, it's not even that close from my perspective...
