http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...icht_1-fc-nuernberg-81_fk-usti-nad-labem.html this match report doesnt have a visual of the lineups but looks like he played in midfield - setting up the first and scoring the second in 78 minutes of play
played another 54 minutes for FCNII and got red carded (2 yellow) in a 3-1 loss. Seems like he picked up his 1st assist then wrecked the game for his team.
FC Bayern could be set to recall Timothy Tillman from his loan in January. The 19 year old winger has not played a single minute in the Bundesliga for Nürnberg this season and is playing for their second team in the Regionalliga where he could have played for Bayern II anyway. pic.twitter.com/o9U4FUFKaL— Bayern & Germany (@iMiaSanMia) December 12, 2018
turned 20 today and still no pro debut but his loan is bust, still no word on whether Bayern recalls or not. this was posted a year ago about his USA switch that never happened. lol Rongen said this on live tv? The whole thing is funny, love how he over exaggerates.
looks like we have our answer.
in a 1-1 draw vs Eredivisie club he came on the 46st minute and was subbed out in the 75th min. So played 30 minutes in friendly.
Came in late in today's friendly: 81'Die Wechsel gehen weiter: Tillman jetzt für Erras dabei.#fcn #fcnrem 1:2— 1. FC Nürnberg (@1_fc_nuernberg) January 11, 2019
I thought he was only getting 10 minutes, but they played 3 45-minute periods. Nurnberg lost 2-1 to Royal Excelsior Mouscron. Royal Excelsior Mouscron – 1. FC Nürnberg 2:1 FCN: Mathenia (46. Bredlow/ 91. Klandt) – Valentini (67. Jäger), Margreitter (91. Behrens), Ewerton (91. Fuchs), Leibold (91. Harlass) – Erras (81. Tillman) – Misidjan (74. Salli), Behrens (46. Löwen/ 111. Palacios), Palacios (67. Kubo), Pereira (91. Zrelak) - Ishak (67.
makes the matchday squad due to injury to another. Keine Änderungen in der Startelf. Tillman rutscht für den verletzten Misidjan in den Kader.#fcn #tsgfcn pic.twitter.com/nfUNemildH— 1. FC Nürnberg (@1_fc_nuernberg) March 10, 2019 will he finally make his pro debut?
51'Bitter: @11Valentini verletzt sich bei einer Flanke und muss vom Platz. Für ihn kommt Tillman zu seinem Debüt.Gute Besserung!#fcn #tsgfcn 1:0— 1. FC Nürnberg (@1_fc_nuernberg) March 10, 2019
more curious to see what happens to him in Summer. He's not Bayern material, does he sign permanently with FCN and go down to 2BL? Unless he gets tons of playing time in 9 remaining games and impress there, would be surprising if he's picked up by another 1BL club.
He's only 20 years old. My guess is if Nuremberg want him they'll get him. Otherwise, he'll have options (not top of the BL options, but options).
He has yet to file a 1-time switch to play for the United States, but my guess is that he would do so quickly if asked by the United States. Same with either of the Parker brothers or Michael Hoyos (who told me specifically he wants desperately to play for the USA).
Here's the obligatory USMNT-oriented Bundesliga article on Tillman upon his debut. Of course, it gets the info totally wrong about Malik, who is about to get provisionally tied to Germany. https://www.bundesliga.com/en/bunde...munich-us-soccer-national-team-nuremberg-2947 Here's his brand-new Wikipedia page. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timothy_Tillman
the Parker brothers don't deserve a call up by anyone. Nothing but empty careers due to injuries, one is nothing but a bench option in 2BL and the other a RL player.
I don't think anyone disagrees with this. Tillman isn't out of the U.S. picture yet but it will be interesting to see his next move. He has work to do. I think the ship has sailed for any call-up for Germany at any level... but stranger things have happened
Tillman was ok. He is not big but he is not afraid to get physical. He had some nice first touches and some bad first touches. Had some nice pressure solving plays and coughed it up. Was mostly a wide MF in a at time 5-4-1 and sometimes 4-4-2, was hard to tell. He wasn't asked to do a ton of defending. I think at the end he was up top as the loan striker. He wasn't involved in the goal for Nurnberg.
getting praise by the FCN interim coach and looks like they could go for the buying clause which if activated would mean he'll be in 2BL next season. http://www.kicker.de/news/fussball/...zt-erst-recht-hart-arbeiten.html#omsmtwkicker
Can you speak to the US camp for them and us? It seems that you have more of a pulse on the players than anyone at USSoccer.
