Glad I'm not the only one who thought that. I mean what was he supposed to do besides not even challenge a 50-50 ball?
File this under "yeah, right, I'll believe it when I see it" ........... https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...e-champions-league-ban-uefa-ffp-investigation Manchester City could be banned from the Champions League, perhaps as early as next season, as Uefa looks set to take strong action should the club be found to have flouted Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules. An independent investigation by European football’s governing body into City’s behaviour was recently opened after information was made public by the Football Leaks hack and published in the German magazine Der Spiegel alleged City used sponsorship deals to circumvent rules on how much money owners can put into a club.
Wooda been nice to get the second. Edison got one of those high balls close in the bar. He simply pushed it over for a corner. Comms were a fellitating pair. That comment Watford almost pulled off a draw. It wouldn't have been fair though. Bullpucky. It's goals that count. Not how clever you are in keeping possession and trying to score.
Just looked at the Premier League table and Brighton is 1 point behind Manchester United. This is quite shocking to see. When I watched Brighton play Man United, Brighton looked way better than them.
Yep, he's a good manager . I don't think he has as strong a squad as he'd like right now but odds on he'll have Arse in top four at the seasons end.
Kepa is still young but I've seen him let in a few goals that I wouldn't expect from a keeper with his price tag recently. So glad we got Allison.
He's performing waaaay above expectations, but I'm not sure how long they'll be able to maintain this form. They don't have much of a defensive spine, so at some point that will be lead to them dropping some points along the way. It will be them and the chavs in a straight shootout for 4th and I don't see them winning that challenge this season.
They are finally playing to their talent level. They’ve underperformed the last couple of years. Their unbeaten run speaks more to the poor quality of the league and being in the EL than anything else.
And you’re giving 3rd to Spurs? I think all three will be fighting for two spots. Another interesting battle to watch is the race for 8th. My pick is Leicester, but Man United have gotten some good results lately. They got a good away point at Southampton and held Arsenal to a draw at home. I wouldn’t rule Jose’s boys out yet.
Let's also give Wolves a round of applause. Taking points off Citeh (I know, I know, handball goal) and beating the Chavs. They've also lost to Cardiff and Huddersfield recently to really confuse everyone.
I usually don't care about player once they've left, but I've been seeing reports that Coutinho has been struggling at Barca. This one caught my eye because they are suggesting the move was also bad for LFC as we've been "struggling" with our attack since he left. https://ygfoot.com/philippe-coutinhos-lightning-in-a-bottle-can-he-rediscover-his-form-at-barcelona/ I'm not sure anyone would trade Alisson and VVD for Coutinho. We are fine with our "struggling" attack which averages 2 goals a game.
