Well that's great and all but we haven't made the playoffs in over a year. If he was good enough then he'd be in Europe. He'll get his ticket once he earns his stripes at the biggest club in Mexico. I'm sure if our boys make a good impression at the CWC we'll export someone to Europe.
I don’t think anyone outside of tecatito has made a good enough impression in cwc. I think he’ll end up playing like pulido. He tends to roam around and play support rather than being a pure goal scoring forward that chivas is really in need for imo. Hope I’m wrong though.
He is talented enough but I'm worried he will stagnate at Chivas. Even if he continues to develop and get better at Chivas, you think Vergara is going to let him go for a fair price? If he ends up getting better, they'll strong-arm him into signing another contract...
He only cost 7 mill, its not like the 18 we paid for Pulido. If he succeeds at Chivas then he's the real deal. Let's be honest, it's not like there were any rumors of him going to Europe. He hasn't even been called up to the senior national team has he? This is a great move for him, you can tell he's excited. Let's avoid another Davila situation. I got nothing on Pizarro man, that was inexcusable. Chivas were broke at the time and Monterrey paid us cold hard cash all up front. The 3 signings we just made are all on a payment plan... Pineda is only 22 man, plenty of time for him to jump the pond. We just stopped Cruz Azul from buying him. We already registered for the CWC so they won't be eligible to play unfortunately.
I don't really give a shit what Chivas paid for him. He would have been better off staying at Toluca simply because I don't believe he would have been held hostage there if he got better. If he had any hopes of going to Europe, he should have gone to Wilas or Pachuca...
I think it depends on the situation. Salcedo was able to leave and in his prime. So it's not like all players come in on crazy situations
I hope you're right but Vergara never instills confidence with regards to letting talented players leave for Europe.
Exactly. But point is they have not done any better so far. Finishing first in regular season is not the goal. Specially after failing so many times in the last 20 years. Or 21 maybe.
That a promising prospect on a position of need is gonna go to a so called "great" team that has been nothing but a dumpster fire sans the Almeyda years since Vergara took over and will very likely just stall here. The Tri might suck, but it could've sucked a bit less.
all the mexican players across the pond aren't doing anything extravagant with the exception of chucky then again he's in the netherlands with psv how far did that go in the last wc
