But midfield isn’t an issue for us. Forward/Wingers is what we need and a striker.

The usual Modric Kroos midfield looks to be an issue for sure

No i mean we have enough midfielders for the sure whether on loan or brought for the future. Modric should be sold end of the season far as i am concerned

Too much redundancy and not enough penetration.

Yeah and most of the problem is Modric's form imo. We relied heavily on him. We either should find a replacement for him or we have to make a new system for the midfield.

In many ways we are lucky the amount of youngsters we have. Look at the likes of Manchester United and the overrated British players they have in their squad on top of paying Sanchez 400k a week to sit on the bench. Funny when they call themselves the biggest club in the world, nothing but Twats

At this point I don’t think we should sign any more midfielders, especially not young ones and not before we sell Modric and Kroos ( whom I still feel can give us a lot). I don’t want to lose either Llorente, Ceballos or Valverde, they are the future but are also ready now.

Well done team, especially in the Copa where we have struggled in the past two seasons against middling opposition, the team scored 6 goals ( notwithstanding the opposition) without Ronaldo, that’s the kind of stuff most of us were all hoping for after he left, that more players would step up and help out on the goal scoring front rather that leave the bulk of it to one player, now, if we could only reproduce that kind of effort against the better/stronger teams, ( La Liga, CL) perfect.

Youngsters did well and the future of the midfield looks bright, they need more minutes to continue to grow and be consistent in their performances, a mix of the established and the new would be perfect , no more guranteed starters

We should really aim to win the Copa this season. It would be a nice consolation prize and a way to set the path for the future.

If we can do it with team B, then sure give it a go. Otherwise i don't know if it's worth it.

It's amazing to me how better our youth team players are these days in Copa matches. So many matches in years past the young players looked so out of depth when playing with the first team. But lately these guys like Valverde, Sanchez, Reguilon, and this Fran Garcia kid all look pretty poised and skillful. Whatever we are doing with Castilla seems to be working. Imagine keeping these guys (who are mostly 19-23 years old) as part of the squad for years to come and maintaining a well rounded bench filled with Youth products....really hope we treat these players well and play our cards right. Some gems in there.

Llorente again looked pretty damn good. Isco scoring and able to play around a bit is good for his spirit. I'm liking Javi Sanchez a lot. PK was silly though. I like our players pushing for more goals in these matches, entertain the crowd and let it fly.

As opposed to saving our strength for what exactly?

Even though to be honest, our B team is looking better than the A team anyway.

    Watched the game this morning.

    Great result. Good game.

Really hated how the commentators made fun of Vinicius failed rainbow flick though.

"he isn't Neymar", yeah sure dudes, but he is only 18 ya know?

Save the strength for La Liga and UCL like always and give CDR to the B team. We have incredible talent in our hands and it's the perfect competition for them, might save us or make us millions.

Dude can run, can't he? I don't know if he'll ever amount to anything, but that speed will always get some team to bite and take a chance on him.

Cheeky finish on one end, brain fart defensive mistake on the other. I wonder who he reminds me off....? :D

At this point it doesn't make any sense that Llorente doesn't play if Casemiro isn't.

Javi Sanchez should get some minutes mor minutes against better competitions so we can see mor of him. I like what I see so far as well.

I don't know about anyone else but Vinicius sure reminds me of Robinho. I don't even mean that in a bad sense. Robinho was decent enough for a couple of seasons.

The reality is he is in no way comparable to Neymar or Rivaldo etc. I think it's unfair to him. I think he will be quite valuable for us though.

A Robinho with consistency and professionalism would turn into a world beater
