Didn't watch Schalke but Nübel seems to be getting good reviews #S04's Alexander Nübel: “I’m delighted with my debut. It was awesome. We produced a top performance, didn’t let the atmosphere get the better of us, but we’ve got to score here tonight so of course we’re a little disappointed.” #GSS04 #UCL 📸 @s04_en pic.twitter.com/Fzu33YJ7ry— James Thorogood (@UEFAcomJamesT) October 24, 2018 I don't. What I do know is that Alexander Nübel was exceptional.22 years old and making only his 2nd professional appearance. Incredible. https://t.co/laAVyGZSFE— James Thorogood (@UEFAcomJamesT) October 24, 2018
Nubel with his second clean sheet...wasn't troubled at all though...was lucky when he fumbled an easy punch in the first half and someone cleared from the goal line
Nice, haven't heard much about Wellenreuther. His club has been struggling this season though so it takes quite a bit for a keeper to stand out in those circumstances.
Karius remains a joke abroad. But the question is will any Bundesliga or 2BL club give him a chance and try to rebuild his career? German tabloids can be a difficult place too. Just yesterday, Thomas Müller is getting ridiculed for his wife talking shit about the Bayern's coach on social media.
Time to say goodbye Vlachodimos receives clearance to represent Greece and will be called up to their upcoming Nations League matches https://www.90min.de/posts/6216583-...-fifa-erlaubt-vlachodimos-den-verbandswechsel
At least Bernd Leno has been pretty positive at Arsenal Lets take a moment and appreciate Bernd Leno for his performance today. He's basically the reason we're not taking the L today. At least psychologically, we can be happy we're unbeaten in the last 10 PL games. His shot stopping and anticipation is different class.— Sash ~ (@ltarsenal) November 11, 2018
Schalke keeper Nübel considers change: These 4 clubs should strive for a loan. 1-Augsburg 2-FCN 3-H96 4-FD https://www.90min.de/posts/6226371-...e-4-klubs-sollten-sich-um-eine-leihe-bemuehen would like to see him get a loan in Winter. Not only because it will be good for his career but also because he's our #1 for the U21 NT. He's played 6 games this season, keeping 3 clean sheets and only allowing 4 goals against. Also overall seems to have impressed. These games are what's helping increase the interest.
Eintracht Frankfurt would like to keep Kevin Trapp beyond this season's loan https://www.ligainsider.de/mobile/kevin-trapp_636/huetter-ich-wuerde-ihn-gern-behalten-258270/
Mathenia is out injured for remainder of the Hinrunde. So looks like Bredlow will be FCN's starter again https://www.ligainsider.de/mobile/christian-mathenia_2650/hinrunde-fuer-mathenia-gelaufen-258330/
Second consecutive clean sheet for Marvin Schwäbe as Brondby win 2-0 vs Sonderjyske. He now has 4 CS in the Danish league this season.
Marc-André ter Stegen completed 24 successful passes against Atletico Madrid, one more than Atletico Madrid's striker Antoine Griezmann. https://www.mundodeportivo.com/futb.../453152984681/ter-stegen-pases-griezmann.html
seems like 96-onwards GK are getting closer and closer. Only looking at 1BL clubs. F.Muller when fit is a starter. Nubel has impressed whenever he's played, one would think he could attract interest of other clubs in 1BL, especially ones with not so great GK. Frommann, Smarsch, Plogmann, Fruchtl, Theissen, Dahmen, Menzel, Nicolas have all made the bench for the 1st team at least once this season. Some might not even be 2nd GK at their clubs but seem to be being prepped to eventually become #1 in long run. Of course there are plenty of others in the reserve teams. there are even some younger ones like 01-Unbehaun who made the Dortmund bench in some friendlies and seems to be rated by his club. Or a 01-Lenze who made the bench once for Schalke in the CL when Fahrmann was injured.
Marvin Schwäbe got his third straight clean sheet as Brondby are also on a 3 game win streak in the Danish Superliga
Looks like Eike Bansen hasn't done much of anything at Zulte Waregem in the Belgian league this season. From the lack of TM game data, it doesn't seem like he's even their match day back up on the bench
he's the 3rd GK. #1 is a guy in his 30s and #2 is in his mid20s while he's only 20. It's kind of the same for Benda at Swansea another 98 GK who's the 3rd GK. in these scenarios if they stay at their clubs either reserves or loans or wait until the older guys are gone. Unless injuries allow them to jump up.
Not much chance for Bansen to be moving into a consistent role in the foreseeable future then. Zulte Waregem are also a struggling side near the bottom of the table. Makes you wonder if his entire time in the Belgian league will just end up being a totally unproductive experience.
what GKs have not played well or impressed in 1BL? have to say not impressed by either H96 nor Augsburg's GKs. H96 neither Esser nor Tschauner have impressed while Augsburg neither Luthe nor Geifer have been noteworthy. also Fahrmann seems to be on the downward trend.
Zieler has also declined Meanwhile could be a chance for Dominik Reimann to be the new #1 at Holstein Kiel, as Kronholm could be moving to the MLS https://www.liga-zwei.de/holstein-kiel-kronholm-ist-begehrt/
I was hoping Reimann displaced Kronholm in Summer but guess they stuck with their #1. He'll be 34 next season too. If Kronholm stays and Kiel stay in 2BL would be nice if they start transition. seems like 99-Weiner (current #3) has played well in RL although he has disciplinary issues.
