Given the match was played in Belgium it got some coverage, but not really much.
Hoping he can keep this form going for some time.

Still I am a bit disappointed at the lack of self criticism. What happened last year was harsh on him, but you cannot say that it wasn't because of his own performances he got benched.

I'm sure any athlete (especially a young one) would be reluctant to acknowledge their own pitfalls. Some might call such acknowledgment a sign of weakness. Horvath is aware he lost the #1 spot due to poor performances. But I'm sure he's also aware that the other goalkeepers weren't much better. The arrival of Letica is good for him to challenge and push himself to be better. Same with the NT and his upcoming competition with Steffen.

Btw, do you think he has the #1 shot until he loses it? Or would the coach be eager to return it to Letica?

Others weren't much better, except for Vermeer, he did well but then got injured. After his error with USMNT he seemed to have no confidence whatsoever in his own abilities, I believe the club made the right call at that time. The board however kept on saying they believed in Horvath's abilities.
They wanted Vermeer, but couldn't get him at first. Then panicked and took Gabulov, but weren't sure about him (that turned out to be correct). Some weeks later Vermeer was available so they went for him too.

With his performances during the last couple of matches I presume the first keeper spot is his to loose. Letica is now in the position Horvath was in last year. Letica did come in with high promises though, so I wouldn't rest on my laurels if I was Ethan. He still does have some areas in which he can improve, but off course that's easier when you play.

As fans we hope the goalkeeping issue can be a thing of the past now, and start winning matches again. Champions League has cost us a few points so far, and we have to make sure we don't let the distance get to big.

Tomorrow home game against Zulte Waregem. Despite the truckload of injuries this should be a clear win.

Unfortunately Brugge did not play well today lost 3-1 nothing that Horvath could do from what I could see on social channels.
This team is in a funk since Leko was arrested. Real issue here as I said early on when I joined this thread is Lekos poor coaching ability. He is losing this team and once you lose the locker room it is time to move on trust me on this :)

Away to Dortmund tomorrow. A huge match

    https://www.hln.be/sport/voetbal/ch...und~a2857eec/?referer=https://www.google.com/

Will not be bored, Ethan Horvath (23). No German team scores as fast as Borussia Dortmund. Eins, Zwei, Drei, Vier. Their average looks little hopeful.

Fabian Bredlow swallowed seven in September. It will be, we will hear you think. The chance that you have ever heard of Bredlow - the unknown German goalkeeper of Nürnberg - is small. No bad.

    Hence two more illustrations.

Atlético final piece Jan Oblak - considered one of the best goalkeepers in the world - was allowed to turn four times in October. And the number 1 of Bayern Munich, Manuel Neuer - not the first best one - also cashed three this month. To say the least: Borussia Dortmund is definitely a goal machine at home. The numbers are terrifying. 33 goals in 9 home games: good for an average of 3.7 goals per match. The chances are corresponding: 15.3 per hour and a half. Good luck, Ethan Horvath. A shooting stand is waiting tomorrow night. It does not matter if you stand with your face or with your back to the Gelbe Wand, the chance that you have to turn around as a goalkeeper in the Signal Iduna Park is gigantic.

At Club Brugge, five goalkeepers came into action last season. The arrival of Karlo Letico had to help the keepers problem out of the world. But the young Croat also went wrong and so Ethan Horvath returned under the bar.
Ivan Leko switched to a goalkeeper change after STVV-Club Bruges. Ethan Horvath got a new chance and grabbed it with both hands. Just think of his great performance in the away game against AS Monaco.

Horvath also shone in the friendly match Italy-USA in the stadium of Racing Genk (see photo).

But there is still a hint of doubts above his head. Should Club Brugge look for a new keeper in January or are they good with Ethan Horvath? If another keeper is added, millions of purchases of Ethan Horvath are threatening to disappear from the picture, which is capital destruction.

The 23-year-old Ethan Horvath gets the chance this week to win even more credit. Club Brugge takes action in the Signal Iduna Park on Wednesday evening. Will Horvath remain in and against Borussia Dortmund? In Monaco there were roughly 7,000 fans in the stands, in Dortmund there are ten times more. A nice test and challenge!

On Sunday, Club Brugge-Standard follows, a match in which Horvath will once again have to stand tight.

CP could use a jump start but still I gotta go for the underdog and root for Horvath today.

If CB makes the Europa league, it will be in large part to the save Horvath made in the early minutes of the Monaco game. The manager situation there seems nuts and I don't know if Ethan keeps the job even if he merits it, all year. But he will have that and everyone at CB will know it.

I just wanted to say those Brugge away uniforms are ugly. Real ugly.

I like the home kit though.

Champions League shutout for Horvath (yawn...) - not asked to do much, a couple of small mistakes that didn’t lead to anything, picked his spots coming off of his line correctly every time if I recall correctly. Definitely benefited from extreme defensive organization in front of him and Dortmund being content with a draw, but did his
