Its very impressive that hes at the top of the scoring list but keep in mind this league is only for the north of Germany. You notice there is no Schalke, Dortmund, Leverkusen, Munich, or BMG
Why is it a big deal? They're both incredible talents. Theyre both going to play on the same team in the future. No need for petty arguments
I'm not suggesting an argument. I'm suggesting that it'd be ironic if a guy who has been balling for the senior NT doesn't get his debut in the same league as Soto, who no one is considering at all for the NT. I agree they're both great players.
Pretty amazing that we appear to have two of the best youth prospects in Germany and one in Spain. Is that an exaggeration? Who cares, I'm buzzed.
Making friends in the first team: "Das ist auch einfach eine Form von Motivation für junge Burschen, mal oben dabei zu sein. link If the 96-squad due to injuries - as it is currently the case - or even international travel decimated, it is not uncommon that during training with junior players "refilled" is. So also on this Tuesday morning, when our U19 players Sebastian Soto and Julian Klar with "Waldi" and Co. let the ball roll - for the two 18-year-olds the premiere of our professionals. The two run since this summer in the jersey of our red on, Soto goes in the storm on goal hunting, Klar is variable defensive man. And now both got the chance to sniff "profile air" once. "Motivation for young boys" "Above all else, it's just a form of motivation for young guys to be at the top, to know where they can go", explains Breitenreiter about the unit. And adds: "That certainly helps to give them even more motivation and to become even more diligent, which is also the philosophy we drive." And precisely because of this philosophy, the two were of course no strangers to Breitenreiter and his coaching team, who are always busy with our junior teams and look closely everywhere. But nevertheless, it is "of course something else, if you have them sometimes in training," says the 96-head coach. "We live this way" Overall, summarizes Breitenreiter again: "There are just young talents that we lead, we live this way athletic and implement the same way - and then be happy if it is one or the other young players then also manages to actually play on top and even score goals and get noticed. " This is how Linton Maina has done well: The 19-year-old has been training with our pros since January, made his debut in the Bundesliga in March and came to regular stakes this season until his injury. Soto and Klar are still a long way from that, but maybe they will go the same way!
I'm hearing that Sebastian Soto is training with Hanover 96's first team this week. He's scored nine goals in 10 games for their U-19 so far this season. #usmnt— Jeff Carlisle (@JeffreyCarlisle) November 6, 2018 Apparently he is with them all week.
I'm not seeing anything indicating he was there. Searched his name around the internet and came up empty apart from commentary about a Hannover II game he played last week.
Hope Hannover continues their poor performance offensively. It would be nice to see Wood get back into form, but we know his finishing is sub par for the Bundesliga and likely won’t become the striker star we hoped for 3 years ago. It’s been done over and over again on Sargent’s thread, anyone have an idea where Soto stands on the depth chart to the first team?
At this point, I believe Soto and Sargent have an equal chance of starting for Bremen this calendar year.
19 year old right winger Linton Maina just scored his first Bundesliga goal for Hannover. That's a good sign as it shows they really do trust their academy. Maina scored 11 goals and had 6 assists in 47 matches for Hannover's u19 team. All in all, things looks very good for Soto to eventually get his chance, potentially before the season is over. Between the classes of '95 to '99, there have been 9 academy players for Hannover make league appearences. He's in a good spot if he keeps up his form.

"The U19 players are not going to be an issue for this weekend, they all did a really good job - it was really a very fresh performance by all four guys and I wish it was Another motivation is to continue to work and to be diligent, so that they can move here in the future in the cabin, "our head coach said. "They also have the quality and the bite to become a professional. No goals this weekend in a 6-0 demolition. Nifty backheel assist on the 2nd goal. Highlights here: https://tv.dfb.de/video/11-spieltag-staffel-nord-nordost-alle-spiele-alle-tore/23723/
Hannover U19 lost 2-1 to Dynamo Dresden this weekend. I believe the video shows Soto assisting the lone goal for Hannover. If so, it was a nice run and a smart lay off for the goal. https://tv.dfb.de/video/12-spieltag-staffel-nord-nordost-alle-spiele-alle-tore/23895/ He's had a relatively quiet run in front of goal if you count the U20s. Hopefully he snaps out of that funk and put some in the back of the net.
North Rhine Westphalia is considered Western Germany. It includes cities like Köln, Dortmund, Dusseldorf, Gelsenkirchen, Monchengladbach, and Essen
There are three leagues with 14 teams each -- North, West and South -- and Soto has been among the top 5 scorers in those 42 teams OVERALL all season.
He was in the RSL academy, correct? Did RSL ever give him a contract offer? What type of offer was it? Anyone have any idea about how it likely compared to the Hannover contract?
