I liked the match, entertaining, some beautiful plays, blind passes, tabelas, jogo bonito. Second half we were pressured in the beginning but held them off well.
    Neymar, brilliant, MOM.
    His passing gives me chills.
Neymar not too far in goals from PELE.
    Alan didn’t work out.
Would have liked to see DEDE.
We deserved the win, especially dominating possession.
Richarlison should have scored that one from Neymar long distance pass right to his foot face to face with the goalie.
    PRA FRENTE BRASIL !!!!

Neymar missed almost all of his incisive and virada de jogo passes he attempted from deeper midfield. Only good one he had I remember was the one to Richarlison. Also lost the ball 2-3 times doing stupid shit in the midfield and with a better team, we get countered dangerously.

That's because he is letting Neymar run the midfield.

Also, Cavani's foul on Neymar was barely a touch. And he made a meal out of it being all pissy afterwards. Neymar is mau caráter ... always will be.

It could be related to Coutinho not being in midfield meaning Neymar has to drop deeper.

I don’t think Tite is losing creativity or is lacking flexibility. I think he copies roles from other coaches, who tend to have success at club level with our players. For example, Coutinho in midfield, Neymar centrally, etc.

Btw, we need a better right back ASAP. If I’m tite I might be tempted to recall a past it Alves and I don’t think he played any futbol this year.

Tite could be working on Arthur filling that role . Arthur’s job was basically to do a side pass to Neymar so Neymar could try te glory pass himself. And RA was completely wasted. We controlled most of the game but we were a mess tactically.

I have not had the chance to see the game (against Uruguay).
What did you guys think of Walace as a replacement for Casemiro? I remember and was very impressed with him from Rio 2016.

I was at the game with my kid and watched it fully. Mostly Brazil attacked and Uruguay defended. Some of the criticism of Neymar is uncalled for I think. He was head and shoulders above everyone on the pitch and reveived the most applause from the spectators. His passing, dribbling, trickery, etc. caused the most threat to Uruguay. He did lose the ball a few times, but I think that was contingent upon him trying to breakdown the stubborn Uruguyan defence. He was quite vocal and tried to instruct DC and others on making runs etc. He would roam less with Coutinho on the pitch I think. DC was uncharacteristically subdued but did make some good runs. I liked Allan, who looked like Mauro Silva to me. Arthur looks so graceful on the ball but lost it a few times. Wallace was a good replacement for Casemiro I thought. Overall, it was great to watch Brazil play at the Emirates.

If you want Neymar playing hero ball, then yeah, he is going to look active and like he is doing a lot while the rest of the team is dragging. But the team will suffer. DC had a bad game because he barely got the ball in situations he thrives in. He didn’t even have a chance to do badly. Neymar missed most of his riskier passes. At one point gave DC. A shit pass behind him and bitched at him.

Arthur IMO hasn’t shown the creativity or the passing for that role yet. He is doing great in pulling the strings and controlling tempo. Without Coutinho in midfield, we lack the creator IMO.

Has he been given a chance ? You can't tell me somebody with those types of skills doesn't have that potential. This is no excuse IMO. So if Coutinho is out the next plan is to give Neymar the ball and let him do whatever ?

And I really don't like Coutinho in that position unless we have a LB that doesn't cheat as much. It's partially what cost us the 2nd goal vs Belgium.
