it actually doesn't look good for him. Didn't do much when he did play in preseason. Now 3 competitive games and all unused bench player. On top FCN got 2 new attacking players at the last minute in the transfer market in Vura and Pereira.

looks like on the 15th instead of being with the 1st team he was in the FCNII squad where he played 85 minutes in a 2-2 draw. Didn't score or assist in the game.

Plenty of people over the last year have said that Tillman isn't good enough to ever play for Bayern and that he'll be at max an average 1BL player. It's the comments from people who watch the Bayern youth games/reserves. Never impressed in any game I've seen him play. And his preseason form was pretty bad tbh.

still it's up to him to take his chances and perform when the time comes.

This loan seems to be shaping up similar to the Green loan to Hamburg. And it's probably too early to say this, but I have a feeling the career arc is trending that way as well. Tillman may need to drop down a level to get minutes.

for 2 attacking players, Green at least did decently/well enough in U17, U19 and RL. But Tillman only did well in the U17 level, which is where good chunk of the hype seems to come from. But he didn't really do much in either U19 or RL level. Just look at his U19 stats, pretty dreadful stuff and his RL stats aren't really impressive either and includes tap ins and deflected shots etc. Inconsistent and has rarely shown himself to be a difference maker.

given that he never really performed at a higher level, he should have went to 2BL instead of 1BL.
2 of his Bayern teammates, one ex and another on loan as well both went to 2BL. They had 1BL interest, but one is more likely to get real chances/time in 2BL over 1BL. Which is why 2BL instead of 1BL.

as I posted on this page FCN got 2 attacking players at the end of the transfer window which doesn't help his case at all.

I said this in the M.Tillman thread but more and more people seem to currently think Malik shows more potential than his brother. The irony is that Malik fits the mold of the they signed his older brother and he was basically a tag along, a freebie on the Timothy deal. Now the kid is an important piece of the U17 while also being the captain of the team.

likely yes, in the 1st U17 NT games for the 02 group, he started 2/3 games and the other was a sub who played 34 minutes. He also captained Germany in one of the 2 starts, which was the last match of the 4 team friendly tournament.

as of now he's headed towards a provisional cap tie.

Timothy wasn't in the 1st team squad nor did he play for FCNII. He either was an unused bench player for FCNII or plain just didn't make the squad as well.

An international decision is the least of his problems right now

he shouldn't even decide unless it's senior NT anyways and he's nowhere near that for either country. As long as he's doing nothing at club level and already cap tied to one country, he's pretty much stuck to Germany. A 99 player is youth eligible until the 2021 U21 Euros as well.

lol, FCN's coach says that Tillman was wrongly used as Bayern playing on the wings as he seems him more of a CM. Which is one reason as to why he hasn't played in 1BL.

Interesting... From his highlights he did not look like a good winger lacking 1v1 ability so maybe this makes sense.

This is actually very good news. Being held back because you aren't cutting it is a lot different from being held back because you're learning a new position.

Would love to know what position he played. If FCN coach’s statement of him better off at CM is true
