Como siempre, otros tienen que andar arreglando nuestras cagadas

Hopefully, they can solve it on time. Lets remember that 3 of the 4 players who got their visas denied are: Our starting forward (Orellana), And our 2 rightbacks (Estrada & Monterroso)

Here's u-20 squad. Starts timorrow iirc
    DqyNiJQU4AAMJsX.jpg

The visas problem didn't get solved, so we're gonna have to play without our starting forward and the two rightbacks from the UNCAF. Whoever was in charge of this should be fired immediately. We also won't have our starting DM J. Estrada (injured), Erick Rivera & Samuel Garrido. These last two for technical decisions. Im surprised about Garrido since I rate him very highly, but he didnt perform in the UNCAF, so there are other players far more deserving of a spot. Tampoco van Brolin (injured) y Mendez (doping suspension)

Also, i think players can be added/switch after the first round, if the visas get solved and we make it to the second round, they might call some (at least Orellana).

Im happy for Ardon's goal and assist. He wasn't supposed to be in the squad let alone starting. But since our two rightbacks got their visas denied, he was thrown into the mix. Also, Santis sigue anotando. Oh, y Barrientos el Capitan ya merece por lo menos tener una oportunidad con la mayor. He's been very good for Guastatoya

Your U20 team looks pretty good tho, so I pretty much expect this to happen. Next round will really give you clarity on this generation.

Agree. They look good, let's hope they dont screw up the first round.

The next, if we make it, i still think Mexico & Panama are the clear favorites

I honestly was expecting more from Curaçao since El Salvador struggled against them.

El Salvador is not as good as I thought.

You can also watch all games on HD on the concacafgo website. I watched it there on mute con narracion nacional lol
I agree on Curacao. And still they complicated us a few times when they pressed us. Also, Siempre hay demasiado espacio behind our DM. Lets remember that Barrientos is only playing there cause Estrada is injured and the other 2 options are needed as Centerbacks. Sin mencionar que nuestro LB is a forward by trade. No quiero pensar como nos va a ir si pasamos y nos presionan equipos como mexico and panama.

Also, before i get ahead of myself, El Salvador looks much better than they did in the uncaf sub 19. Apparently a lot of these players didnt participate in it. Y nos pueden complicar.

They have a lot of height in the team, y juegan con dos puntas que se las arreglan solos. Aparte que son mas vivos que los caribeños. Still, i feel that if we perform, we should be able to beat them. But there's nothing more guatemalan than losing when we're favorites.

Lets hope we do beat them tho, so we can rest our players before the second round. A ver que pasa. Won't be able to see them on tuesday, but ill still be rooting for them

Everytime they scored a goal the team got lazy and gave possession away. That was the main problem, hopefully Gardiner corrects this.

Agree. That's why Gardiner kept screaming "No miren" , as to start moving when they lose the ball. Sometimes, we hold on to the ball for too long too. Zuniga and Cifuentes being the biggest culprits.

Hay mucho por mejorar. Rosas y el Cuilapa haven't performed to their ability yet. Let's hope they start doing so against the Salvies. But even then, se ven ideas claras. I wasn't in favor of Gardiner in the beginning, but hes shown that he can build a team with clear ideas, Mejor que Erick Estrada from last cycle. Ironically, he's working with him as part of the coaching team cause Gardiner's assitant got his visa denied.

Anyways whatever happens this premundial, yo le daba the next cycle too (2022). I would find a way to incorporate Memin, Swisher y Amarini as well.

    You should beat ES.

Guatemala has a strong shot at Panama.. Decent shot at Mexico.

Well that was bad. Its such a shame for a such a talented generation. Idk if having our starting forward would've made a difference, but oh well. Hope they are able to digest this total failure.

With much less preparation , the Salvies stuck to their plan and won. Props to them. Hope they give Mexico and Panama hell.

I, for my mental sanity, will stop watching soccer. At least for the next few months. See you guys in a while :)

Tying 2-2 against the Caiman Islands is just shameful. I have no words... very disappointing.

    Tbh...

After the successful U-19 Tourney I was lowkey thinking Guatemala was gonna grow and build off that.. nope. I was proved wrong. Thought y'all were better than ES even tho y'all lost, but the Cayman game was pretty much stereotypical Guatemala. Brain fart.. after brain fart.. after brain fart.

Luckily though it seems like Guatemala has some solid young prospects to groom and watch for. Just need a mental guru or something lol

El Salvador played bunker ball so I didn't feel as bad but Caiman Islands omg.

You seem to know Guatemala well, I agree with your whole comment. @Catracho_Azul

I hate CR and I hate Panama.. Plus I think you guys might have a quiet but deadly generation coming through.

Central America needs a strong Honduras, ES, and Guatemala.

The next stage ES will face MEX and PAN. Do you think they can sneak past PAN and qualify?
