Seahawks are not playing in Seattle on Sunday. I'm guessing MLS wanted to spread it out for television. Four playoff games on a Sunday going against NFL and other games on Sunday is a bit much.

I want you guys to win this one so badly I can taste it. Garber will suffer great pains when you win knocking out one of his beloved New York teams and I want him to suffer. LET'S GO COLUMBUS!

Does a playoff game affect the Cascadian Coworkers Cup or is it regular season only?

Sucks about Hansen. Now we gave to rely on Meram hustling. Yikes.

There is no way Pipa does not start. Of course, 3G could play him as a second forward to maintain a 442.

Will be interesting as to whom 3G taps as our reserve attacking options with Hansen (our #3 goal scorer) out. Someone said Opoku earlier and I agree. Toss up between Sosa/Argudo for the other & I think Argudo gets it because he is more level-headed.

Pipa, Valenzuela, & Sosa all on yellows. And all entirely avoidable.

We need to do a better job on set piece defending & turn the ball over less. More safe passes. Less dribbling in traffic.

    ----------------Steffen-------------
    Afful--Mensah--Sauro--Valenzuela
    ----------Trapp-------Artur--------
    Meram-------Pipa-------Santos
    ----------------Zardes-------------

Bench: Kempin; Jimenez, Williams; Clark; Argudo, Opoku; Mullins.

One thing I learned from the Seattle Portland game is that the away goals rule does not count in extra time.

Which is odd--as it does in Europe, if I am not mistaken...

    They don't score, we win.

    We score, we win.

This looks good. Bring on Atlanta.

For seeded competitions it really shouldn't, otherwise you're giving an advantage to the lower-seeded team.

And does it count as a 1-2 loss, a 2-3 loss, or a PK win?

That's just dumb, to have the time a goal is scored matter.

I like it. If away goals mattered in extra time the home team would be less likely to push to win as if they give one up they then need 2 to win. That's exactly what happened last night. Portal scored first in extra time because Seattle was pushing to win it. But because of no away goals tie breaker in extra time, Seattle still had a shot. It made for a very exciting finish.

One thing the Portland players learned as well.

As though having the venue a goal is scored in matter is any less arbitrary.

Ok, @YeahMorgan and his obsolete Buffalo Bills podcast Aces Radio https://acesradio.libsyn.com/ has pulled off a lovely prank. I think the video will be released shortly, but give a listen to the first segment of the latest podcast to hear the pranks that he pulled on Robles and Davis. It's a thing of beauty.

    Good luck Wil and Zack!

Portland scored in the 93rd minute. MLS changed the rule in the 95th minute.

Throw out everything that happened after the '90 for that sort of thing. So 1-2.

Should be a fairly decent Crew contingent in the stands. Wish I could have made it.
