    Scores!

Edit: as of right now he holds sole place for third in scoring for the 2018 Allsvenskan.

Good lord, two golazos outside the opponents box in the span of 1 week?

Got to think he's attracting some outside interest as well - 3rd in the league in scoring

Hopefully. I also want Sabbi on the roster another guy versatile in attack with some speed that can keep defenders honest

3rd leading scorer in Sweden as a half-time player?! I'll be surprised if he doesn't get some sniffs from bigger clubs soon.

I wonder if that helps or hurt him that Berhalter used to be his manager. He's aware of him and they must have some relationship, but he didn't play and that could be egg on Gregg's face if he succeeds with the national team. Might depend on his ego what kind of opportunities Gall receives. Gotta figure it would be impossible to deny him at January camp at least.

I don’t think a Berhalter appointment would effect Gall’s chances. Berhalter comes across as a guy that understands players peak and mature at different ages/rates. Berhalter is a not ego driven. I don’t think he’d have any problem swallowing a little pride, holding his hands up, and saying hey maybe I did miss on Gall. He’s not a Bruce Arena when it comes to ego. Also Gall was a whopping 19 years old during his Crew stint. I don’t think that could be held against him. The dude has done nothing but put his head down and grinded since his Crew exit. The talent was there but he refined his game and he’s been rewarded. I hope for Gall’s sake it’s further rewarded with call-up.

Gall not working in Columbus was just an example of really crappy timing. If my memory serves me well, he was fighting off a nagging injury while Columbus was lighting the league on fire offensively and didn't "need" his help. By the time he got healthy, spots were secured and it was very hard for him to break through when the team was playing so well. I've seen an interview from Berhalter before where he says something along the lines of "he was a great player and great kid, it was just bad timing."

That was in 2015, the year Columbus scored 58 goals (tied for 2nd in the league that year) and finished 2nd in the East. The same year that Ethan Finlay had the season of his life with 14 goals and 13 assists, Justin Meram was coming into his own and Higuain was balling as usual. It was just an overall very difficult situation for a then 19/20 year old to come in from the outside and break into the line-up.

I'd be hard pressed to say the current Swedish league is better than MLS though, on average. They're ranked #22 in UEFA coefficient, below the Serbian, Scottish and Belarusian leagues. And that based on the performances by Malmö, AIK, Östersund, their best teams that routinely get ousted by Hungarian, Lithuanian, etc. clubs during the qualifying phase in Euro competitions.

Tops, one of their teams makes it to the Europa's group stage. And the league has no parity, there's a gulf between the top teams and the rest. This season AIK is winning it with a single loss (away to the #2, Norrköping). Yet this dominating AIK got easily dispatched in the Europa qualifying by the Danish club Nordsjaelland (Amon's club, although he was injured for those games).

So take the high scoring with a grain of salt, the bottom-half of the Allsvenskan is USL level, or very weak MSL level at best.

Mostly, I think you’re overly negative. But I am going to have to have Gall prove me wrong in games that I somewhat understand the quality before I’m all in.

    I hope he does.

If anything it gives another interesting winger option, when we've been used to the "industrious" worker wingers in recent memory

Amon, Weah, Pulisic, Gall. A lot of ways you can choose to build an attack
