But is he good enough to play in a decent 1st division like MX or Turkey? The talent has always been there but it’s the between the ears stuff that’s prevented Agudelo’s talent from blossoming. I’ll be honest, he’s alway given off a laziness vibe. True or not, I’m not sure. At 26, he’s not lived up to
expirations. He’s a decent player. I hope a move abroad materializes but JA can’t strike out on a move.

Agudelo and Brek Shea are poster boys for the “missing years” generation of American soccer (born 1990-1994)

Coincidently, both were signed by Stoke

Not coincidentally, both had "between the ears issues", though Shea's were far more obvious.

also says la liga interest as well - but i think relegation teams are not the best option.

He needs to find the right fit with this move - I think he can still surprise people - and I think his reputation from when he was younger is blinding people to his more mature playing style now. Friedel didn't do him any favors this season - only 13 starts but 3 goals and 4 assists - that's not really that bad.

I think he should try Europe on a team that makes Europa League or a team that isn't relegation fodder in as good a first division he could find - he had interest from a bunch of clubs last time he left Netherlands but was dead set on England (why I have no idea) - hopefully whoever is advising him is smarter this time around.

Friedel played him mostly in the midfield this season, out of his best position. Hopefully, he can go overseas and make some money. But as far as the USNT, the ship has sailed on Juan.

not really he just played in the tie against portugal this year and he's only 25 at the moment ....if he can latch onto a good team and play well, why not??!

all depends on what his next move is.....he's not 35 or something....even though he has been around forever....

Probably makes more in MLS than any teams in the Spanish 2nd division. Though; I'd reckon he might manage well in Turkey.

Probably a good decision all around. He'll always have Utrecht where he did well.
