It was fun yesterday. I am so hung over today. I think I drank more yesterday then I have in the last 10 years. God have mercy on our livers.
I was unsure if we would get all sorts of posters over to a Bigsoccer tailgate. Thank you for interrupting your regularly scheduled plans for the gathering. Your costume was tops. Rise from the ashes. For the next taaailgate, I can only imagine if more of our tribes could gather together. Continuous growth and celebration. Fantastic post.
Leadership, ha! Can you help me explain on my upcoming annual review how being a loud asshole with little filter and no shame constitutes "leadership"? Actually, I already have the no filter part covered, "I facilitate open and honest communications."
Oh and a special shout out and thanks to @TKyle for helping Big Soccerless STC Pete at the end of AAAftergate with his car troubles. I'm sure he thanked you in person on the day, but thanks again. I felt awful I couldn't help him, so glad you were able to step up.

Since I didn't have a name tag (damn you @Draghignazzo ... I keed I keed) I figured I point out that I was the random guy with black jacket, hat, and STC scarf (like 85% of the crowd). My daughter and son (hiding behind the guy looking stage left in front) made the picture even though their idea of BigSoccer is playing with a size 5 ball. Thanks to all who made this happen. It really felt like one of those friend reunions where you haven't seen each other for like 15 years but you just pick up where you left off even though many of us have never met in real life. Truly a great group of assholes. Definitely have my vote for making this thing an annual occurrence.
Common phrase I overheard, “you do not look like at all what I pictured.” Felt like I was passing a bunch of blind dates or something.
SOOO I wasn't there . Stinking kid's soccer game - that got cancelled anyways - got in the way . But thanks to everyone for posting details, pictures etc. I felt like I got to experience it almost in virtual reality like nature . Y'all are a bunch of good people. What happened yesterday can and should be the standard for all (or as many as we can stomach) home games. If the Florida vs. Georgia CFB game can be the "World's largest outdoor cocktail party", then damn it we can have the "Worlds largest outdoor gathering of fun loving assholes" (or something like that).
I am shattered ! Thanks to the Big Soccer AAA Tailgate crew for reminding me why I don't drink like that anymore!
I drove back to Chicago this morning and now sitting at the airport waiting on a flight to Dallas. I hope my snoring isn’t going to upset those around me on the flight.
It’s unfortunate that it took us almost losing our team for this to happen. (“Should have been done years ago.”) The last year has been rough, and this little corner of the interwebz has been a wonderful “support group” through it all. For the support group to get together and blow off steam was an outstanding thing. I’m thankful I got to meet and talk with so many of you, and wish I got to talk more with some (time limiting) and meet others I didn’t get to meet. I’m in for an annual BS tAAAilgate!
