"A group that includes Browns Owners Jimmy and Dee Haslam has come to an agreement with MLS to acquire the Crew and keep the club in Columbus, according to sources."
Just trying to tell you that sometimes people get things wrong. This one, I feel pretty good about though . Especially considering I accidentally ********ed the whole thing up.
I'm wondering if the Schotts have any further involvement with any of this. A while back, I was followed on Twitter by Brian Schottenstein and found it peculiar as I live in Toledo and have no real connection to anything Columbus related other than being a Crew fan....so I thought either he accidentally followed me or was maybe just checking out things Crew fans were talking about online. Made me wonder if he had some kind of invested interest in the Crew happenings though.
These quotes are from those bogus SiriusXM tweets about a strip club building the new stadium and rappers and country music artists buying the team. Ugh. People don't know how to source things.
Actually no. The Browns have wanted to build their training facility in Columbus for a couple of years now. I'd bet my mortgage that there will be a new, joint Crew/Browns training facility announced before next season starts if this purchase goes through.
I don't believe that 614Now article for one second. Don't you think we would have heard if Precourt had a press conference today? Get out of here with that BS.
I sit in the same section where me and my dad sat behind the Home bench which use to be the Visitors bench and now me my wife and my son now sit, I still think of my Dad when we sit there every game.
Pretty sure it's fake. Since, you know, there hasn't been a press conference yet. But I fell for it too.
As a rule, I never post with my phone. But I'm stuck on campus and can't get either home or to Columbus, where I'd like to be. But since I may be too drunk to post coherently later, I'd just like to thank anyone and everyone who helped #SaveTheCrew.
