That back line is going to suffer in the coming cycle against dribbling/short passing teams: Brooks, Miazga, CCV, EPB, Ream, a whole bunch of guys about as agile as an 18-wheeler.

Saief is HORRIBLE defensively. Just as on the James goal, Saief completely ushered a Colombian player towards goal, rather than away, and then jogged off. Luckily for us, Cuadrado did nothing with it (this was when the score was 1-1).

Still need that quicker cb to pair with Miazga and Brooks. Just isn't ideal.

Robinson has his issues against particularly speedy and/or crafty attackers.

In fairness that was a very well-worked goal by Colombia.

That absolutely wasn’t all on Robinson. Rewatch the sequence. The offside trap was botched and it was desperate from Miazga.

So does the rest of our LB options. If the offside trap wasn’t busted it wouldn’t have been an issue.

I mean that tends to happen with any wingback that faces those kind of players doesn't it?

And it won't get better until the stands are empty for these matches and MLS. And the viewership drops to nothing. Garber schedules these to snake money from supporting fans.

Columbia pretty much uncontested as they approach the 18. That’s on the midfield. Everyone needs to defend. Not just the defense.

Oh my god, they subbed Kenny!

Shockingly poor defensively for someone who's supposedly a defensive midfielder by trade...

I know this is crazy, but I wouldn't mind Alvarado getting another look in a friendly. Not sure what his agility is like these days, but he's always had wheels.

That may be true of that play but he's been getting shredded all day

What? Dude's a "wingback", but not really, he's more of a shuttler / central winger in Vanhaezebrouck's system.

Picault and Green are very similar wingers. Feel like if Picault is going to come in a game it should be for Green, especially in a match such as this where their starting position is in their own end.

Can Bradley's legs truly be that bad? He's like a traffic bollard - he can defend if the ball comes directly at him, but otherwise a non-factor.

I think he needs a doctor to take a closer look at his legs and see if he's got an underlying injury.

CPs health is indirectly proportional to Sarachan job security.

You throw EPB in that grouping? He's as quick and athletic as they come for a cb. That's actually my selling point for him being a destroyer cm. But to wit he may complement the other galoots well who are falling down when they try to suddenly change directions.

He had two foot surgeries before the 2014 WC and has never been the same since.
