Besides he recently undergone some injuries, if he has not completely healed yet and is still prone to injuries, he¨ll be most likely left sidelined. Regardless good luck with him, let's see how it all turns out in the long run and hopefully a solid performance.

Why are there many quality foreign players in the league this season?

Saudi FF increases foreign quota to 7 players

This ^. And there have been many new rules put in place regarding wages and structure too that are having an impact. Knock-on effect is obviously less chances for young Saudi talents though.

    nnte repped this.

I don't see quality in 30+ old players ..It's just becoming a retirement league for star or so called bit famous players in Europe ..The old players will only slow down the games as they will lack the energy in the field & give there fullest..

Not a decent start for big clubs in the opening Week.. 3 wins and 7 draws across all matches..

Ramon Diaz methods are not impressing me at all. He got couple of good players in his line-ups but still struggling to find rhytm in the team.. I don't see him last long with team...

OUT ..OUT.. OUT.. Diaz is finally kicked out of the team after Ittihad looses 3-0 against Qadsiyah.. He is a hopeless coach who banked on success with favours from Ref & Carlos Eduardo.

Meanwhile, Jaber is out of Hilal president ( any reason ? ) or its just another friend favour ?

Diaz is gone, but the clowns who brought him, from Khamis (and the rest of the tent a** kissers) to Pluto himself, are still there. And not taking any responsibility for the mess.

As for Sami, rumour has it he left because he opposed letting Omar Kharbin go to Egypt.

All in all, the league is even more of a circus this year.

Just wait and watch. It's only 2 game weeks for now.
I am waiting for couple of more circus to happen - Repeat of matches, random expulsion of players, clubs refusing to play matches , revoke of red cards to any players just coz clown thought it was not correct etc etc..

BTW, newspapers are quoting Islam Seraj health has been deteriorated in past couple of days and his condition is critical.

Wehda are outplaying Ittihad in the 1st half, I know Itti are in terrible shape this season, but it looks Wehda’s players are getting better collectively which is good for the league despite the circus that’s going around. Anyone knows why the game’s kickoff was moved just 24 hours before it starts?

Ittihad has become circus now apparently..Wehda meanwhile have strong South American imports plus having a Brazilian coach can get his message across the players easily..

Ittihad are looking bleak this season.. Players on & off the medical room , coach not yet decided though we are linked with Slaven Bilic ( Former Everton and West Ham United coach ) & president is just talking big..

We just hope now we dont get relegated.

Bilic is officially an Ittihadi manager. There is probably no bigger name to get but I think with or without him, Ittihad will eventually finish in midtable.

The relegation talks are meant as jokes between fans or just dramatic reaction IMO, there are already weaker teams who have harder chances to survive i.e. Alra’ed, Albatin, Ohod, Alhazm and strangely Alfaihaa; a team that impressed last season and kept most of the players they had in their run, but maybe they lacked the addition of difference-makers the other teams have now, but it’s still weird to seem them where they are now.

Teams like Batin & Feihaa spend lots in the last season and hence deprived of cash this season. This usually happens when you are over ambitious & just let the money go without seeing the ROI. Also when you fire coach for no reason & expecting from him to fire the team to glory you really can't help this smaller clubs.

Midtable clubs need workshops of to run the clubs and what actually a good season stands them for..

Strangely I can't see any coaches in Saudi who rotates the squad well, & all go for glory which is menace in football these days..

Watching Ittihad play these days is really pathetic. No defence at all alongside the attack is no where to seen. I really hope they survive this season :(

We have enough players above 30 & bringing in one more will just add misery .

The problem is we started with wrong foot bringing in Diaz who is absolute failure and banked on Eduardo to save his ass everytime. Secondly, bringing is 30+ players in the squad .

The team has lost confidence now , & it will be very hard to pick that up.

Do you think Ittihad will bounce back and at least shove off the relegation position

Still nothing to say about.. The team is going to fire many players in upcoming transfer window & sign new ones. These new players coming and settling down and get the ball rolling will take time.
All n all the club is in big mess now.. We were better off with huge debts on us

I think Ittihad will be able to save the season by avoiding relegation and might finish 10th

Let's get back to this circus for some time:

Couple of changes since the last time we had a post :

1: We have double the number of coaches changed than the team's in the league.

2: Hilal is going to win the league for the next ten years as they have become PSG or say City of the league .. They got Hattan Bhabri & fired Jesus and got Zoran as new coach.

3: Ittihad has couple of new players & team looked to be stabilized as of now.

4: Ahli got back there old players in roster with addition of Hussain Abdul Ghani and Tayseer Jassem.

5: Hassan Muaz goes back to Shabab.

6: I think we have record number of VAR used so far and the league in sometime will set worldwide benchmark of using VAR in a whole season. It's ridiculously high.

I must say that Tawoon against Nasr last night was entertaining on behalf of Tawoon but disappointing from Nasr. Clearly, Saudi Talents being wasted all around specially in Major clubs where they play 5 foreign players in one time and keep the Saudi Talent warming the bench. I am talk about Ahmad Al Faraidy not even being considered to play the match when Nasr wanted someone to control the mid field. Similarly, Hilal is riding the luck on Foreign Players.
No Club in Saudi Arabia will and is going to bring Saudi Talent if this 5 foreign players on the pitch rule continues since existing talent will continue to be wasted on the bench while clubs will keep on looking for foreign imports for club glory.
Saudi FA should change the rule to maximum 2 foreign players to play the match while remaining 9 players to be 100% Saudi Nationals ...
