Luca de la Torre could be in line for more game time, admits Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic after midfielder shines in victory over Millwall
lol...he said he can't promise anything....weird phrase, imo. Its like he knows he should play him but has some unspoken reason not to....
We talk all of the time (and hear from managers all of the time) about how players riding the bench need to "take their chances" when they get them... Well, Luca came in and contributed to all 3 goals in a 3-1 win and was MOTM.. if they're not willing to give him more of a look after that then he needs to go on loan, zero question. I have a strong feeling he won't get more of a look because he didn't cost them anything and they spent way too much money this offseason on players in his position to bench them in favor of Luca.
I agree with the above but moreover he's 20, he should be playing against grown men in games that matter. If a clear opportunity doesn't present itself within the next month or so he needs to tell his agent to get to work.

One thing to keep in mind for those of us hoping cup play will provide De La Torre with a chance for playing time: Fulham faces Manchester City at the Etihad in the next round of the Carabao Cup. And the FA Cup doesn't start for PL clubs until January.

Seeing a lot of Fulham fans say that this is close to their full strength XI that they have available, so they're going all in and it's good to see DLT at least on the bench given the scenario.

Fulham have lost 6 of their last 8 heading into their game today against Huddersfield. At what point do they start cutting their losses and giving guys like LDLT at least the opportunity to see what he can do?

This flew under the radar a bit, but rumors are starting to circulate about a January loan for our lad... Fulham midfielder Luca de la Torre is a loan target for a number of Championship clubs and sides from abroad in January. #FFC https://t.co/KUh5AMfsMf— Pete O'Rourke (@SportsPeteO) November 21, 2018

Luca going out on loan? I certainly hope so, for his sake. https://www.tribalfootball.com/articles/fulham-to-release-luca-de-la-torre-for-loan-4262139
Looks like Luca isn't going on loan, now that the transfer window has ended. He needs playing time somewhere.
