Watching the game. Horbo down 1-0 in the first 15 minutes. Haven't seen much of Sabbi yet. I'm watching a stream with no commentators (the best kind of streams, by the way) and you can hear the coach yelling at Sabbi a lot in the last 5 minutes. "SABBI!! COME ON!!" His team has been playing poorly in this game and Sabbi isn't getting the ball to his feet leading to some frustration with Sabbi kind of moping around the field.
Sabbi goes the full 90, his team loses 2-0. He was unlucky to hit the post and looked dangerous on a couple of occasions. Have to think he could have done more if he got more touches in the attacking end of the field, but that's life as a pro soccer player, sometimes there are just those games that the ball doesn't fall for you. Not trying to get ahead of ourselves, but in my opinion he looks like he could play for a bigger club. Not saying he needs to move to a big league but maybe to one of the bigger Nordic clubs in a move like Gall just made. He certainly looks like he can compete at a really good level and already looks like he more than belongs in the Danish league.
His best games have come this season up top. Judging from Hobro's twitter account he seems to have played on the wing today maybe would've been better off having him up top. Hopefully he gets a call up for the US next week!
Some highlights from Joseph Lowery on Twitter: I sat through 90+ minutes of near bottom of the table Danish Superliga soccer to learn more about Emmanuel Sabbi. First thing: Sabbi shows flashes of brilliance on the ball. This turn is just wonderful. pic.twitter.com/81EGBF2M1g— Joseph Lowery (@joeclowery) August 24, 2018
I thought that a better Danish team should acquire him. He still has inconsistent touch at times to be effective at a bigger club at the moment. But that move he pulled yesterday where his first touch took him away from two defenders had me like "Holy @#$%"
Agreed. I think this was the right move for him off the bat. MLS likely wouldn’t give him the freedom to get better and more consistent with the moves he’s pulling off Denmark. Not to mention I doubt he would of gotten playing time in MLS this year.

67' Emmanuel Sabbi har spillet færdig for i dag. Mikkel Mejlstrup Pedersen kommer på banen i stedet for #SJEHOB 1-1— Hobro IK (@hikfodbold) September 1, 2018
Hopefully both Sabbi and Gall make the transition to a bigger club next season. Both feel like similar players. Was he able to walk off the field on his own?
He was walking around, sat on the ground and was feeling the back of one of his legs, then waived for the trainers and for a sub.
Very impressive the scoring record, especially on a bad team and not playing as a striker it seems like.
Didn’t see it but sounds like he could have pulled his hamstrings. Hopefully not, otherwise he’ll miss a few weeks
