    Let's start fresh.

Here's a random article that I pulled from Naver: https://sports.news.naver.com/kfootball/news/read.nhn?oid=139&aid=0002097534

They need to call up Han Chanhee. He's such a well-rounded player. Don't @ me.

This guy too. We need a good, classic CDM (no more JWY/JHS):

choi youngjun is having a good season but i dont think he is a better option than the existing players like ju sejong, lee myungju, go yohan, etc. if he was younger feeding him experience could be beneficial in the long run but hes a 1991. i like the potential for han chanhees call up better since hes bigger/stronger but he needs to be more seasoned before he can be a senior team player. he can move the ball forward but he doesnt know how to control the possession and dictate tempo. he also doesnt really track back (some of it is tactical reasons i understand) and relies too heavily on his right foot, so much so that he actually gets uncomfortable whenever hes on the left side of the pitch. lets first observe how he does at the u23 level

I hope Park JH gets called up. We need him for the Asian Cup. In either the LB or CDM role, he is still my preferred player.

On the CDM position, CYJ is better than the players you mentioned, at least in this season. Besides that, JSJ and LMJ play in a weaker league, while Go Yo Han is a winger at FC Seoul.
Why shouldn't we just test him and what has it to do with age? He's just a few months older than Son, younger than the players above and won't be too old to play in 2022.

And regarding HCH, he's surely young and has lots to improve. However, he has played 3 seasons on pro level already and is arguably one of the best midfielders in the K-League this season. That's enough to get tested. If LSW, HIB and KMH get chances, he should too. Especially if you compare him to LSW, who's already a senior NT player, I don't think HCH is too raw.

If he can get back his form (I think he's just recently returned from his WC injury), he should be called up of course.

neither han chanhee and choi yongjun are top midfielders in kleague. just another case of people searching hard for new faces where in process they become blind to existing players. both lee changmin and ko yohan have done better and lee myungju and ju sejongs past accomplishments blows away anything they are doing this season. and everything han chanhee accomplished this season it has come at the expense of playing any kind of defence

I still think PJH was the best CDM partner for Ki that we've ever had.

Yup. Prime Kim Jung Woo was versatile and just efficient. He played well with Ki.

From the limited time we saw of the Ki-Park JH partnership, looked good too but sample size is small.

Imagine prime Kim Nam Il-Ki Sung Yeung partnership. Kim would obviously be the destroyer with Ki being able to move higher up and go forward more often, distributing killer passes. We wouldn't have to worry about Ki's extremely mediocre defense being a big liability.

Whether Suarez and Cavani is included in the squad or not, it doesn't necessarily matter since we're likely to lose again anyway. Uruguay is a strong team even without their presence, and Tabarez knows our team very well.

Fabián Coito is currently the interim for Uruguay. Tabárez hasn't officially renewed his contract yet, but maybe by the time they come play us, he will be back? I thought I read somewhere that he was most likely gonna continue though, so we'll see

Last I read was that Tabarez rejected a contract renewal for a new team, but he'll probably remain as their manager for at least one last WC campaign before retirement.

Not to discredit Park Joo-ho's decent service at CDM, but Ki+Kim Jung-woo was the best CM/DM partnership we've ever had since post Yoo Sang-chul/Kim Nam-il. Of course, Park Joo-ho is miles of a better option at CDM than the likes of Jang Hyun-soo day in and day out, although I still think he's a better LB than he is at CDM.

Choi Young Jun is a similar player to KNI. Strangely, people seem to underrate him, because he's been a nobody a year ago. IMO definitely more useful as a CDM than other players that have been mentioned (who mostly aren't defensive-mided players). And for me, personally it has nothing to do with wanting "new faces". I haven't seen this player type in the KNT for a while and I'm just curious how CYJ would do.

Choi Young-joon definitely deserves a call up imo, and it's mostly due to the fact that I see him fitting into Bento's tactics/style of football, after all Bento likes to have a holding midfielder in his system, and neither Jung Woo-young or Jang Hyun-soo are the answers(They're way off the chart imo).

On the flip side, I'm open for the return of Lee Chang-min and Lee Myung-joo as well, then followed by Baek Seung-ho, Hwang Ki-wook, Jang Yun-ho.

With PJH getting older and declining in stamina, I'd rather have him deep in the midfield.

KJW was the better CDM, but my regret with that duo is that their peaks never truly coincided in the way it did for KSY and PJH. KJW should have been able to play at a high level for a few more years, but he hit his absolute peak for a brief period around 2010 and then declined heavily shortly after. In 2010, Ki was striking the ball extremely well but as I recall he was otherwise far from his best at the time, both in form and skill.

I personally think that 2014 AC KSY and PJH were one of the best CDM duos I've ever seen in Asian soccer. Both guys were in their primes, complemented each other well stylistically, covered for each other well on defense, and had a great understanding of space between the two. PJH wasn't one of the best CDMs we've had but I think that they clicked really well and had the fortune of good timing.

kim jungwoo has said that he played so well in the 2010 world cup that post world cup he lost all motivation to do anything. not only on the pitch but also in real life. he knew he had hit the absolute peak and he will most likely never get to experience it again

Don't know what to make of that... Apparently, his health deteriorated to the point he had to quit pro football (last time I saw him he was playing for UAE club?). :(
