That was hilarious. People on Twitter are all like well he got bossed by Alvarez, lmao so salty in bitter loss. It’s a friendly and doesn’t matter but I for one liked the nastiness from Wood, Yedlin, and Miazga. He put himself up there with Gooch and the Bradley stare down, it’s going to be in repeat any time they play for the next 10 years. Love it ******** MexicoNT.

I HAVE to imagine that there was some kind of back-and-forth between them before this, right? Or did Miazga get fouled and then just say the equivalent of "haha, you're a short ****"?

If nothing else, this team has recovered its fighting spirit.

Basically a meaningless incident in a meaningless friendly.............................but amusing nonetheless.

I would add that Matt Miazga intimidates nobody. That Oguchi Onyewu stare, though. That's the stuff.

I'm gonna go way out on a limb and guess they're acting like a bunch of butthurt, racist 12 year olds.

The Mexican commentators said the CCV had a certain resembles of Gooch except that he wasn't as tall.

    Calling someone short is racist.

Wait, so they said he's short AND they said a black man looks like another black man? That's double racist.

I see your angle. I think they were talking about the intimidating bulk/strength that CCV looks to have, same with Gooch's

Sorry, but USvMx is never meaningless. I never think this game is meaningless. For thirty years, back when they would not shake hands after a game til now, never meaningless.

I’ve been sitting on “He’s the next Onyewu in the sense that both were sent packing by big clubs”, but posting that alone starts getting people all riled up because it’s an MX fan.

This would have been a great rivalry moment if someone like Pulisic did it, someone talented.

For the record no MX fan said it was racist, that was a Portuguese dude who gives us updates on Hector Herrera. I thought it was a bad comment. Douchey thing to do by Miazga, nothing more or less.

I didn't like what Miazga did, but both players acted with class after the game. They both said it was just a scuffle that happens on the field.

Thats very different from how Neymar acted when asked about Yedlin the other day. That was pure disrespect, and shows why Neymar is disliked by a lot of football fans.

Yeah, pretty douchey... like telling “********” “P.U.T.O.” every time the opposing team’s goalie kicks.
Or stepping on someone’s heels when they shut your run down and then acting like you want a piece when your really shitting your pants.
Or trying to take out a player with a potentially leg breaking tackle in retaliation for an insult. Nothing more, nothin less

    1. The chant is bad, those people are jackasses.

    2. You're seriously calling that intentional? Lainez was going for a ball, if there was contact it was accidental. Who would shit their pants at Miazga anyway?.

    3. Zaldivar slipped. I don't have a problem with the red because he really could have hurt the dude, but he slipped. Didn't try to take him out.

    Terrible points.

Not to mention the one time a player went beyond stand-off, Jermaine Jones had Chicharita eating his armpit in the 2011 GC Final. never forget it. Hilarious.
