With the International break over it's back to a full slate of MLS action! The race for the playoffs is heating up some teams, while the race for that off-season vacation in the sun is at full speed for other teams (here's looking at you Orlando, Chicago, Colorado & San Jose!). As always all times are Eastern. Please remember to keep it neutral here in the N&A game thread. National TV games are noted, otherwise it's ESPN+ for your MLS action! High of 92 degrees forecast in Denver on Saturday. I'm sure they weren't expecting that when they scheduled a midday game in mid-September. Oh, and CU's first true home football game of the season will kickoff before the Rapids finish (CU played CSU in Denver two weeks ago and played in Lincoln last weekend, so fans haven't had to go far to see them play in person). Could be a light crowd in Commerce City.
I find it amazing for how bad Minnesota is that they keep getting players called up to national teams, crippling their lineup. If Quintero is still out, put the Loons on Comb Watch.
OK.......I can't figure out for the life of me why ESPN has chosen to broadcast MLS games at 1PM on a Sunday...........makes absolutely ZERO sense.
Wonder how Rooney feels about glad-handing American servicemen two minutes before the match. Just want to remind everyone we’re 2-0 with two saves against England. #USA
It’s “Armed Forces” night for DCU. Do clubs in Europe celebrate these kind of shenanigans? Would Bayern Munich roll out the troops just before a UCL game with Chelsea?
Yellow match ball tonight? Has there been multiple colors all season? Never mind. It’s the childhood cancer initiative. It’s all month.
