You gotta respect his collared shirt game tho. That's one thing he's got over "I'm ready for my shift at the garbage dump" Bruce Arena.

So, this is gonna be 4222, yes? Or do we think Acosta plays wide in a 4141?

He’s shown as a RM on the lineup pic

Ernie Stewart has had that same widow's peak for 20 years. All of us Norwood Scale guys should be so lucky.

    Twellman, shut the hell up.

    You’re making too much sense.

I am not a huge believer in the accuracy of the lineup sheet.

I really don't think the wait on a coach is that big of a deal. Player development comes from their clubs not the national team

It's good Earnie Stewart is focusing on off the field stuff. Preparing and looking forward to the next World Cup is pointless. The World Cup comes every 4 years and is like 3 games and it's over. You think Croatia had a 5 step plan in 2014? No, their world class club players just came together 1 summer and played 7 games. International soccer is that simple, that's why Stewart should just focus on the USSF, the system, soccer in America, and recruitment and development.

usually I'd agree but coming off the disaster that was last cycle you'd like to start building something permanent ASAP. Obviously don't rush and maybe they wait for some "bigger names" to become available throughout the winter but there is a case to be made for expediency imo.

Well, if might be simple but so far nobody in the US has been able to crack the code.

Nice to see Herc and Twellman voice the frustrations that much of the hardcore fanbase feels. Keller (and Holden) on the other hand towing the company line per usual.

Thank you Herc and TT, don't let those bums get away with selling their snake oil.

If all we're getting is a mediocre MLS coach, it's absurd that it took this long.

It's posts like these that let USSF know that they are safely ensconced in their ineptitude.

I agree. If it's an MLS manager, he should have been hired once the USSF election was complete in early 2018.

The only thing that makes a 12 month wait worth it is a big name international manager with a proven history of coaching up mid-level sides.

That Dempsey guy looks to have a lot of skill and guile, too bad he's not 22 again.

well USMNT success is the gateway to EU succes (and the higher levels of the sport)....its different for USA players than it is for croatians, italians etc

mind you, a 16 year old us player just had to leave Manchester united b/c of visa issues, agudelo was barred from EPL for same, etc etc....

USMNT-inclusion is more important for development of US players than it is for other countries, especially EU ones that don't have paperwork problems.

bobby wood wouldnt be in bundesliga right now without USMNT for just another example.....

The entertainment level and quality of posts is inversely proportional to the quality of the MLSNT. I'm finding silver lining.

Holden's not that bad in that regard. He just plays both sides of the fence, blunting his message. Not bold like Herc and Taylor.

Keller has always been a straight up yes man to USS for future job prospects. He's shameless. Totally pointless as a commentator.
