Alright, let's get this going! Pretty excited about tomorrow, what do you guys think the probable lineup will be? Should Balotelli start? He looks pretty rusty and looks like he gained some weight during the break. He didn't look very motivated during the first league match.
    • Italy's first competitive match under coach Mancini
    • Brzęczek in charge of Poland for first time
    • Both nations lost on penalties in EURO 2016 last eight
    • Italy home record v Poland: W3 D2
    • Italy won EURO in 1968, twice runners-up

Looking at the midfield for a strong showing. I think we have sure things up front and in defense, but we need a midfield that is smart, assertive, and passionate. I really like Lorenzo Pellegrini, so I will look to him to have a good performance. Hopefully Benassi and Jorghino will continue their strong form. IDK what to expect from the FBs to be honest. I just want FB's that don't get caught up the pitch and put pressure on the center halves

So a few youth games today
The U21 team lost to Slovakia 3-0
The U20 team beat Poland 3-0

And the beach soccer team won the first game of the Super Final vs Belarus 5-4 on a goal with like 20 seconds left lol

Mancini will probably play 4-3-3. Really hate that system, can we revert back to the good ol 4-4-2. I’ll be watching tomorrow. I’m also upset with Perin, he ain’t gonna play this season. Yet he’s better than Donnarumma.

personally I would have Chiesa in there over Insigne.. but im ok with the lineup otherwise

and to knitpick... they have Chiellini and Bonucci on the wrong side

Well the new rankings system is in. We're 14th ranked Euro team, but need to be top 9 to get seeding for next WC.
    https://www.fifa.com/fifa-world-ranking/ranking-table/men/uefa.html
Good news is we're only 35 points off 9th, and these matches can get you 10-15 points for a win. Hopefully Mancini understands the importance and we have a good year of results.

It's not about Mancini not understanding the significance. It's about Mancini not being very good.

I've said it a hundred times, not being seeded has screwed us for 4+ years.

It certainly did not help us when we got drawn into the same group as Spain.

    That shouldn't have happened.
