To be fair, Yoon Suk-young had his fair share of ambiguity with his connection with KFA officials. But this time around, his form is coming back so maybe that's why Bento wanted to take a first hand look at him. He's a work horse, but lets see if he can make an impression this time around.

I'm pretty sure all those players were selected/recommended by the KFA. (Hence, no Suk Hyun-jun)

Bento can't be blamed for anything yet. It's way too early.

I understand why incompetent troll game throwers like JWY and HKY are on the list for the upcoming friendlies, however, there are several reintroduced foreign-based players such as HEJ and NTH yet no SHJ. SHJ is a guy with 11 caps and 4 goals (better than HEJ) and one of the few strikers we have playing in a competitive league. If players were selected solely based on recency & familiarity, why call up NTH and HEJ? If SHJ really has some beef with the KFA or something, I really hope Bento has the balls to call him up nonetheless. I am just so confused as to why SHJ never gets called up...

Is anyone really placing blame right now on Bento's selections? They're useless friendlies, and he's been on the job for about 2 weeks now.

    LOL

Okay but I think Bento needs more than 2 games to build a competitive team for the Asian cup.

Every manager needs at least 1 yr to build a team, esp when it's a NT.. Expecting him to win the Asian Cup easily is asking too much from him.

+ SHM didnt do much right behind the defender when he came to help lol. I think KJS thought i'd be okay to put less pressure on the defender bc SHM was gonna help, but nope. lol

Anyone know anything about Kim Moon Hwan, the Busan player? I don't really watch any Busan matches.

It's our current U23 starting RB, naturally a RM, but good balance and a quick, technical fullback like LYP. Been one of our most consistent players at the AG, with today's match being his least good one (at least defensively). Deserved a call up imo.

Edit: He's also one the oldest player minus wildcards, at 23. And he's been a starter for Busan in K2-League, with 16 games so far this season.

You almost gave me a heart attack. I had to look up to reassure that HKY is not in the squad. JWY should fcking stay in ME tho.

Yeah I haven't watched any AG matches so I know nothing about this guy. I know it's asking for a lot to get a RB who has killer pace and physical (Cha Du Ri), but it's at least nice that Bento is trying out a player I haven't seen any of.

For all the sh*t Stielike gets, and I'm not sure he would get credit for it, but our backline during Asian Cup was competent and discipline.

He's more of a LYP type, as he isn't strong physically (his height is 1.73). But he's shown some very good movements going forward, while also being a decent defender despite being a natural wing forward. Most importantly, he's been the most concentrated defender IMO, with some intelligent clearings. Even better than Lee Yong in that aspect. He's not good at 1 vs 1 defense though. Today, he let in a few dangerous crosses. He definitely needs to work on that.

Isn’t best to rest the players that played in the Asian Games? why bring them for friendlies when they won’t be at their strength.
