The league kicks off this weekend so I thought it was time to start a matchday thread. Unfortunately, the bridge collapse in Genoa has led to a postponement of our first match of the season. Mr. Gattuso gets another week to prepare the team for the season opener.
Fuk me!! So frustrating, so effing frustrating. We were doing well and then our defense slipped up and the midfield was overrun. We just can't give up two goal lead. Somehow I feel this team could be promising and should return to CL next year.
Well that game was infuriating. Have to get Higuaín in better positions....but he also needs to finish those ones in front of goal. Midfield has to be better; Bakayoko is skilled but looked out of sync with everyone else right now. hopefully that gets better as the season goes. Also with Hakan back Friday they should be some better crosses coming into Higuaín
lol. it was a great start. not a good finish. major bummer to blow a 2 goal lead and come away with nothing at all.
Another big match tomorrow. Really need to show up and stay focused. Hoping for better luck than in the first round.
Calhanoglu has been wasteful today, otherwise a good overall effort so far. Definitely been taking it to Roma.
Rodrigues coming off was strange, but with Calhanoglu going off, there was far more created through the left. Great finish by Cutrone. Well deserved win. Gattuso has these guys playing exciting football.

Great win with Rino making the right substitutions with Cutron, Samu, and Laxalt. The left side was dynamic when they came in. If we can start getting production out of Pipita then we may have a real shot at a top 4 spot. Thoughts?
