He’s playin got lights out lately. He’s ready for another call up to the USMNT. Hopefully he can keep it up into a championship team buying him next season

Gooch always looked like a dangerous player but one that didn’t make the right decisions and deliver the final ball. Seems to have changed that, at least at the league one level. I could see him being a real spark off the bench for the US

I'm very happy that Gooch is doing well and getting starts. He's still a Hopefully he can help
the team get promoted right back up to the Championship.

Regarding his national team prospects: it's been a long time since a player in League One level has been good enough for the national team. Championship level is pushing it, unless they're completely lights out there. He's still a young player and has time to prove he's really good enough.

Championship level, it depends. Is it a young stud destined for an upward move? Play him! Is it a veteran player who has found his level? Nay him!

Bottom line is that he's never shown to be international quality. We can't be calling people just because they look good somewhere in Europe. You look at the player, and the opposition he faces.

Sounds like Lynden will be fratured on Netflix next year as Sunderland tries to get back to the Championship.

Awesome I really enjoy programs like "Hard Knocks" and "Last Chance U" - it's cool to get a glimpse into the day-to-day.

Let's follow our own advice, shall we? Examining the player and the league he plays in, Gooch is still a viable part of our player pool.

We're lacking depth for fast wingers/AM's who are productive. Romain Gall in Sweden, who hasn't done much since getting to Molde (early days, I know). Jonathan Amon at FCM in Denmark, maybe flavor of the week Sabbi for Hobro, and maybe Weah if you play him as a winger.

Domestically, Mueller's fallen off a cliff. Arriola's moved centrally, but perhaps he could still be put out there... After that?

After that is Gooch, Rubin, etc. And since Rubin's not played particularly well for the US, and doesn't play for Tijuana, Gooch is above him in my eyes.

We've got a Championship LB who is clearly our unquestioned starter (unseating longtime Portland/Santos LB Villafana), and people want to thumb their noses at a guy who's on a tear one level below that?

We called in Andrija Novakovic based on his time for Reading reserves and a single season for a mid-table Dutch 2nd division club (Telstar squeaked into the playoffs, and historically are a pretty poor club).

Why? Not because we suddenly think that all Dutch 2nd division players are USMNT material. But because they're in-form, young, and playing a position of need.

Slight correction: Gall is with Malmo FF. Molde is a Norwegian club

Get him a chance in friendlies once he looks decent in the Championship.

Playing League One types is something Antigua may be ok doing, not us.

He has played for our USMT already, you know. He was dangerous and productive, IIRC. Don't judge because of his present location. A good season and he leaves S'land.

He played 25 minutes in the game we lost 4-0 to Costa Rica and he was a non-factor.

I am good with this criteria if we enforce it uniformly to the detriment of Bradley’s US career.
